“Warm and blissfull”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

We had a wonderful week's stay at child- and adult- friendly Corinna Mare! It' a little oasis right at the water's edge. You can swim in the infinity pool and watch the sea lapping at the shore a few metres away, then hop out of the pool and enjoy some lovely fresh and plentiful local food and wine. It's such a peaceful setting with 2 beautiful pools, bar and restaurant area. Its also small enough to feel warm and friendly but enough people around. Quite a nice mix of nationalities there too. I would recommend it for all ages, from families to couples, the pool area and beach are good for kids but its also a really romantic setting, picture candle lit dinner by the sea, the sound of waves crashing. It is worth hiring a car but you can also probably do without as the lovely cosmpolitan town of Chania is a quick bus ride away. Yannis looked after us in the restaurant and was warm and hospitable morning to evening. He has lots of interesting information about the area and the local food. The food itself was so tasty and fresh and LOTS of it. Try the seafood, soo good, and ridiculously good value. Thanks for a lovely holiday. And we hope Yannis gets to enjoy a cold and rainy winter, as is his wish!

Room Tip: Rooms with sea view are well worth it, although they are also next to swimming pool, a plus for us w...

This small scale hotel has amazing views. There are two -partly very deep- pools. But most important is the friendly staff. From cleaning to reception, everybody is friendly and interested. Hats of for Yiannis who runs the restaurant. Do ask for the fish dishes, you won't regret that!

The property is beautifully maintained with lovely gardens and the pool areas, bar and restaurant are adjacent to the sea with great views of the area. It is well located to supermarkets and other restaurants and is either a car or bus ride to the main centre of Chania. With the facilities we were able to cook for ourselves as needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful and even advised of traditional local restaurants and checked to see their opening times. This is a wonderful place to spend a few quiet days relaxing but also close enough to all facilities and seeing the surrounding countryside. The onsite restaurant serves very good food for a very reasonable price.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor unit with balcony access from the living room and bedroom, which looked direct...

Coming back to Corinna Mare after our 2012 stay was an easy choice. The situation exactly and literally right on the mediterranean is second to none. Peace seems to fall on everyone here.
What we like most about this place, and what will make us come back again, is the sincere warmth of the staff and not least of Giannis and Vasilis running the restaurant.

I will still reserve the fifth star for freshly baked bread in the morning, and for basic amenities in the room such as soap, salt and oil - so that one can fry an egg without filling a shopping cart at the supermarket.

The apartments are a bit different and we had to aks for a change to a more recently renovated one. The place is located some 25 minutes bus ride from Chania and the local restaurant offering near the beaches is good. On the other hand, the hotel's own restaurant could be better, luckily, we had only paid for breakfast.

In the renovted rooms, the electricity only works with the electronic key installed. That's fine to reduce unnecessary running ot the A/C etc., but with no power sockets always on, charging phones etc. while on the beach/pool gets complicated.

Room Tip: Rooms #500+ seem to be in better shape than #300+

Nice personnel both in restaurant and Pool bar, cosy sun beds and green well-cared enviroment.
Apartments show a little worn-out and defects were not repaired properly. The rocky beach did not tempt to swim but there was a sandy beach at the distance of 100-150 meters.

Room Tip: Choose a good room by paying extra for sea view and balcony.

Just got home from a great stay with the family. Nice location, great service and real good food. Highly recommended. The two pools are location right next to the see and provides a perfect view of the ocean and neighboring islands. 300 meters away is a great beach where snorkeling is something you will enjoy.
