I've been meaning to write a review for quite some time about this hotel. My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon here in 2005 and it was wonderful! This was especially due to the hard work of Christine who did everything in her power to ensure that our stay was perfect. A wonderful hostess!

The Palazzio di Pietro lived up to all its previous reviews and my daughter and I had a wonderful stay. It couldn't be in a better, more peaceful location, close to the beautiful old Venetian harbour with its restaurants spilling out on to the pavement and within a stones throw of ancient, narrow, picturesque alleys of the old town, bustling with life, excellent restaurants and little artisan shops.

All the reviews of 2007 are still accurate and there is little point in repeating everything that has been said, but I do reiterate that it is so refreshing to feel that one is staying in a place where the owners really care about you, your comfort and your holiday. Christine is the ultimate wonder woman and nothing is too much trouble for her. She dealt with my reservation extremely efficiently and responded promptly to all Email enquiries.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this delightful palazzio, it lived up to all expectations and we would definitely return.

It's difficult to add new things to say about Christine and the Palazzo di Pietro. But we had such a wonderful, relaxed week here in September that we felt we had to add to the reviews. Her hospitality is exceptional - her every wish is that you have the best stay possible in this lovely place and she takes every care to make sure you do. The building itself, in the family for generations, has been beautifully restored. Our suite was spotlessly clean, the bed beautifully decorated by Christine when we arrived, and very comfortable with a little balcony overlooking the quiet street where you could watch the world go by - but don't miss the lovely rooftop garden lovingly tended by Christine's father. The flowers are beautiful and it's a very peaceful spot. Chrstine keeps you supplied with soft drinks, baskets of fruit and her father's home made wine.Iif you are lucky she will share her favourite chocolate cake with you (we were - thank you, Christine!)The Palazzo is ideally located in the old town, it's just a very short stroll to the harbour and you are spoiled for choice for restaurants. We can't recommend it enough (even though this might mean it's even more difficult to get a reservation in future!). Hope Christine soon gets that holiday she so deserves though.

We stayed at the Palazzo di Pietro from 22nd-29th May and wished it had been for longer! Christina is an excellent hostess and a never-ending source of useful information during your stay.

The Palazzo is delightful in every way and the little extra touches like fruit, chocolates and champagne in your room, and the beautiful roof terrace, made the stay truly memorable. I loved standing on our room's small balcony and looking down on to the street below - life is definitely lived at a slower pace over there! We have already recommended the hotel to several of our friends. The old port area of Chania is very picturesque and we sampled many of the restaurants, both around the harbour and in the town - one of our favourites was Pallas, fantastic food, service and a view to die for! I wish we were back there and would recommend the Palazzo and Chania unreservedly!!

Having read so many glowing reviews of the Palazzo di Pietro, my partner Brian and I were happy to find that it lived up to our expectations in every way.
Christina Bitzanakis and her family have renovated this beautiful old venetian palazzo with such love and attention to detail. Our room, 'Artemis', spacious and spotlessly clean, was fitted with quality furnishings and family heirlooms and had a small balcony overlooking the street.
The bathroom was very luxurious with corner bath and thermostatic shower and the little kitchen area was stocked with a huge basket of fresh fruit, tea and coffee, soft drinks, champagne and chocolates as well as wine, raki and olive oil all produced by her father who is also tends the pretty roof garden, for which he has won prizes.
Christina had decorated the beautiful (and very comfortable) 4-poster bed in the traditional greek way for honeymoons, with flowers and heart-shaped chocolates. She was charming and thoughtful, and very knowledgeable about the history of the palazzo and that of Chania itself.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very sad to leave!
