Visited at Greek Easter 2015 and the hotel was busy, clean well services rooms a bit short on drawer space, helpful and polite staff and serving a very good breakfast, the fresh orange juice machine is a must!
Handy for the city centre without being in the midst of a busy part of town, good pool and towels provided.
Slight downside is parking available on street and nearby municipal parking, but no dedicated hotel parking.

There are two truly wonderful things about this hotel that will make us come back again and again- the excellent location and the amazing staff! We stayed here for 5 nights over Easter and although at first we were a bit skeptical given the size of our group and various needs, we had an amazing time. The hotel staff is unbelievably helpful, always eager to fulfill a request with a smile. On the first night (the night before Easter when everything was closed!) we had a problematic shower but as soon as we told the reception, they told us that they would do everything they could to help us. Indeed, the next morning, given that no one was available to fix the problem, they gladly moved us to another room which ended up being even nicer. We had 5 young kids in our group, including a toddler, and everything we needed, the staff was truly eager to help out (something I find quite rare in the Mediterranean!). The rooms are freshly renovated so found them quite pleasant although the people in our group sharing a double room found them quite small. We had a suite for our family (2 kids ages 7 and 12) which was pleasant and sunny. The view of the snowed Lefka Ori was gorgeous. Wifi was great. Breakfast was also fine and again the staff was eager to help with any requests. The location of the hotel could not be better as we could walk to a cafe or restaurant in 5 minutes (which was important since we also had elderly people with us). The walk to the Old Harbor is about 20 minutes of slow walking but again perfectly fine and we dined there on several occasions. Taking a taxi was very simple and cheap. Plus the staff was very willing to make reservations for us or offer suggestions, going out of their way to find a nice place for us on Easter day. The only reason I am not giving the hotel 5 stars is because it does not have a kitchen and sometimes at night we did not really feel like looking for food with 5 kids in tow... The hotel does offer snacks which are quite cheap but sadly so is their quality. Anything other than the toasted cheese sandwich for the kids (with chips from a bag) is really quite inedible... But knowing this, you can plan accordingly and count on the fact that the excellent staff can even order delivery for you!

Room Tip: We had a fantastic room on the 4th floor, spacious, sunny, overlooking the snowed mountains!

Recently refurbished, all staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast is good and available till noon. We heard no street noise even on the first floor. Great location - you can walk to the Old Town and the city centre. Room was clean and modern. Wifi was adequate for browsing and email but not great for VoIP/Skype calls. The 'standard' room is kind of small. We viewed their superior, triple and suite rooms have plenty of space. We will definitely stay again. They have a swimming pool that was open in April and a small gym. The lobby is very spacious and includes a bar that serves drinks, coffees and snacks. There is no restaurant but there are plenty of them in town. There is street parking available.

Room Tip: 3rd and 4rd floors are quieter and with great views.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2015

I have to admit that the fact that it was a three stars hotel scared me a bit at the beginning. To be honest I quite enjoyed my stay at hotel kriti. Newly renovated, it can satisfy any needs: location, easy access to Chania ' s old port, clean and brand new rooms. They even had shoe polish kit. The reception staff was smilly and very kind and helpful. And their breakfast had nothing to be jealous from a 5 star hotel breakfast.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2015

At first glance this hotel looks like contemporary, pretty ordinary, nothing to remember… one of those hundreds of thousand hotels that you will see in Europe and around the world. Absolutely wrong! When I got in the lobby for the first time ( it was late rainy evening), receptionist, a young pretty woman, meet me with a warm natural smile and welcoming words in Greek. During my 4 day stay in this hotel, people always showed a warm hospitality, all the staff were very helpful and well trained. I realized once again that right attitude is a huge advantage in hospitality business and in KRITI hotel they all deserve EXCELLENT mark!!!
My room was light and warm and spacious, wardrobe was big enough to accommodate all my stuff, bath-room was absolutely clean and light.
Next morning amazed me with an incredible view – White Mountains and blue-blue sky – that was what I saw through my window!
February is not quite busy month in Chania and you can easily find a place for your car on the streets. During the season however, parking could be a big issue here. Kriti hotel does not have a private parking so you'd better calculate at least 10 minute drive round the streets before you find a place for your car. On the other hand, you don't need a car to get to local attractions because hotel's location is great – most touristic, historical and cultural sights are nearby – just 5 minutes walking down the street.
Not to forget: internet is of good quality and is free of charge. Unlike many other hotels, here you don’t need to sign in each time you want to enter the net, which is quite convenient. Hotel is perfect for business people, but it’s also good for tourists who come to Chania to explore and enjoy this beautiful city. Again, hotel is smartly well designed and decorated inside, both rooms and public areas are clean, light and very well maintained. The staff is so nice and helpful. All these things make your stay in Kriti JUST GREAT! And thank you guys for your services!

Probably one of the best hotels I've ever been to. Very modern and comfortable design, loads of space and quite cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, there were many food choices and products were fresh. Rooms were clean, comfortable with very modern furniture that made the room look amazing. Wifi was good too
The hotel is in a great spot in town, not far away from the harbor, clothing and other stores, restaurants and fast food areas. We had a great time staying in this hotel and I would definitely recommend it!
