Owner description: In the beautiful town of Chania you can see the armonic co-existence of different traditional architectures Venezian,Arabic,Ottoman. This is the beauty and the uniqueness of this town. One of the most interesting element of this architectural puzzle are the old Ottoman Baths, which you can find in ruins…The Hammams were brought to Chania by the Ottomans of Asia Minor. As Sherazade, the unforgettable protagonist of "A Thousand and One Nights" said: "A town is incomplete without a Hammam." Crossing the threshold, you enter a new dimension where old world traditions are infused with modern day services. Unlike Spas that call any steam room a Hammam, Al Hammam is the only one, authentic Hammam with all natural, organic, and traditional treatments; where beauty, well-being, body care, and relaxation of the mind are experienced in harmony. The Hammam will cleanse your body in a heated, low-mist room atop heated Venetian Marble tables, where an aesthetician exfoliates you and delivers an invigorating, full body Gommage using authentic black Moroccan Olive Oil Soap - your skin will be left feeling soft and supple - a prelude to your Hammam body ceremony.

“Turkish Bath Al Hamam- Stay away at all costs”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

Well located, clearly had money spent on it. Got to the front desk and was looking forward to good skin peel. Receptionists were really rude and unhelpful. Got replies such as " What you want", " you don't understand" Stay away... Met some incredibly friendly and helpful people in Greece. This place is an absolute downer.

“Turkish delight!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

This newly relocated spa offers excellent facilities in a central part of the old city. Various family members had different spa treatments over the course of a few days and were delighted with the outcomes. I chose a Turkish bath which was very enjoyable although it seems they largely have female staff so be warned if you are a little shy! The highlight in many ways was the tea served in the Blue Room afterwards with an open window overlooking the harbour. Value for money and highly recommended for a destressing day!

“Nice hammam”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2012

This used to be Chania' s Little City Spa in another location ... now relocated on the old harbor in the centre (a door to the right and above Starbucks) it's given itself a complete facelift, something I guess it's qualified to do and boy, did they get it right. The hammam facilities are great and the scrub and massage top rate. A thoroughly enjoyable and rejuvenating experience.
One word of caution .... I treated myself to a pedicure, which was not as well done as I would have hoped.

“Superb way to relax in top class surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

Stormy day in Chania so we decided for some relaxation and where not disappointed to find this oasis. Next to Starbucks just off the main harbour. We had the sultan ham am and it was just fantastic. Lovely traditional ham am and great massage. A real must... I would def go back
