“AVOID AT ALL COST”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

This place is a major con. It is situated on the harbour side facing the lighthouse. My husband and I ate lunch at this place two days ago. We ordered 2 chicken gyros and a portion of fries. The waiter did not bother to inform us that the food we ordered was served with fries and that we didn't need to order them as a side dish. We ordered two beers to accompany our food and then ordered two shandy afterwards. Our bill came to a staggering 58 Euro!! The chicken gyros were dried up and tasteless, and given the fact that we could have bought delicious gyros from the take away just up the road for 4 Euro for two, we definately felt ripped off. The guys who stand outside urging people to come in proudly tell of their trip advisor certificate which I can only conclude must have been achieved from fake positive reviews. There are many nice restaurants in Chania but this was the worst we experienced. Do not waste your money on this overpriced and overated establishment.

“pelagos restaurant will be always a nice choise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

I think that the most important thing after you go away from a restaurant is the feeling of happiness in order to judge the quality of the restaurant. That happened to me yesterday night after we went away from this restaurant.
When we went there we were looking for a table close to the sea in order to have good view.the restaurant was crowded at that time so they told us to seat in a table near the kitchen . I saw how they cook and the way that they prepare the food. Everything was clean and tidy! we even saw our food from the early steps of cooking! After some minutes the waiter came with our food and told us to move in a better-close-to-the-sea table as we wanted from the beginning. The food was so delicious that we ate it immidiatelly!pelagos restaurant will be always a nice choise!
