We had a wonderful stay at Porto Antico. Situated in the heart of the old Venetian Harbour with breathtaking views of the lighthouse. Room was just as beautiful as in the photos. Views from our room were to die for, just like a postcard only real life. Staff were amazing, very friendly & very hospitable. Highly recommend a stay here. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful old town house right in the middle of the old town. The sea views are breathtaking from the rooms and the staff are as warm, friendly and welcoming as you could ever hope for. I would highly recommend this place for a luxurious stay with with a twist of quaintness. You will really feel like you've arrived in Crete.

Where to start? I read reviews for this hotel and most mentioned the size of the shower room so here goes. OK the shower room is small....... but what about the rest? The staff are polite, friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was spacious, clean with everything you could wish for. The view from the balcony is to die for. We had a regular picnic while the sun went down over the bay. The breakfast was outstanding and well worth the 6 euros. The family run café next door is a dream in itself.
So I don't get why people went on about the shower room, just feast your eyes on everything else that the hotel has to offer and enjoy yourself getting lost in the gorgeous lanes in the Old Town.

Room Tip: Take the room with the balcony and the four poster and the views and the ............. Look just hav...

Location & customer service was EXCELLENT. I upgraded to a suite w/an excellent view of the lighthouse. The hotel is centrally located. Balos beach is a 30 minute drive & airport is 15 minutes away. The staff made me feel at home and even placed champagne and a slice of cake in the room for my birthday. If you're looking for a the Four Seasons, book the Four Seasons. If you're looking for a family oriented establishment that's located in the heart of of the city, book here. ps if arriving after 2000 please notify hotel, the front desk closes after 2000.

Ask for a room overlooking the lighthouse, sea but no need to go for the more expensive rooms with balcony. Complimentary Raki, charming service, breakfast at next door café and lots of restaurants within a very short walk - restaurants/bars right on the sea more expensive of course! Location in the centre of town and an easy 10 minute walk from the central bus station (we arrived direct from the airport). Suggest when travelling in Crete you bring your own sink plug as these are often not available! Bathrooms are small, clean and adequate with a decent shower.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking the sea/lighthouse. They are walk-up/no elevator.

I and my partner had a beautiful room with a stunning view on the lighthouse. Rooms look exactly the same as on the website. We couldn't choose a better place for our holidays stay! Restaurants, taverns and shops are in the walking distance as the hotel is located in the heart of the Old Harbour. The Porto Antico team (Sophia, Dimitris, Ilias & Mary) is very nice and helpful. We were greeted by a very warm and friendly staff and we were given complimentary raki. Sophia is lovely and very friendly and she always offers her assistance. She helped us to organised transport from the Chania Airport to Hotel Porto Antico. She also helps to organise excursions and knows much about the town itself so she can recommend restaurants and places worth visiting. In overall we're very happy with our holidays while staying in the Porto Antico and recomment it!
