“Very Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2011

Great location. Superb views from the rooms, pool and hotel gardens. Breakfast and Dinner overlooking the bay. Direct access to the sea from the little beach, or pretty little jettys used for additional sunbathing (non of the usual rush for a sunlounger either). Good food with plenty of choice and a short 20 minute walk after dinner into town.
What more could you ask for?
Maybe, slightly lower prices on the wine!, but hey your on holiday.

Hotel commands a beautiful position overlooking the sea with all the eminities and expectations of a 5* in Greece, fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere (for some maybe a little too relaxed), friendly staff, what more could a body want!! We were lucky to be upgraded to a room with a private pool which just put the icing on the cake. It was an approx 2 km walk into the centre which for us was not a problem howevever, for those less mobile or with young children could be. A fantastic relaxing week, strongly recommended, will be back in the future.

Room Tip: Room 109 next to reception so could be noisy, better rooms 111-115.

We have just returned from 7 days at the Minos Palace and had great holiday at this time the hotel was full but even then it didnt seem crowded, ample sun bed for everyone with non of the early morning rush as we had on a recent holiday in Tenerife. We stayed on the full board plus option which includes drink with your lunch and dinner this proves very cost effective as drinks are expensive, the quility of the food was very good in both the buffet restaurant and also in the Taverna where Monlas,Mihalis and Arista are perfect hosts and could not do enough for you, the staff in the main restaurant where also very good and attentative and nothing was a problem. The location of the hotel allows sea veiws from all rooms around the hotel across either Mirabello Bay or towards Aghios Nickolas these where spectacular.
As for the hotel alot of the negative reviews about the condition of the hotel seem to be from before they have undertaken a major refurbishment of the hotel in the winter of 2010-2011 as far as we can make out and speaking to people who have been going to this hotel for many years the pool and paved areas have been upgraded including new sun beds and furniture as well as the bedrooms they have had a redec and new air conditioning installed, new toilets and hallway carpets throught out hallways and additional works that are to be undertaken throughout this winter.
Overall a brilliant holiday in a great location and looking forward to going back next

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay for ten days in Minos Palace Hotel.

Our overall experience is excellent.

The views from the hotel premises are breathtaking. The restaurants and pool are very well situated and take advantage of the breathtaking views.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, they are extremely professionals without being burdensome.

The food served is of very high quality, with interesting gourmet shades. The buffet has a great variety of fresh dishes, very well prepared and presented. The restaurant among other dishes, is offering fresh fish but really fresh fish!!!

The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet, with adequate amenities and as expected, from the hotel's location, with great view. It is a real pleasure to enjoy the afternoon breeze sitting on the room's terrace...

Agios Nikolaos town is within walking distance and a visit to the lake is strongly suggested. A taxi for the return is something that you might consider though... It is also worth to visit to Spinalonga Island.

We are so delighted from our Minos Palace experience that we are already making plans for a come back next year!!!

We have just returned from a two week stay at the hotel. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect. It provides extremely comfortable rooms with lovely views out to sea, efficient friendly service and an excellent buffet restaurant. The pool and beach areas are very relaxing and give one a truly tranquil setting. We hope to return in the near future!

We stayed in suite 176 with my family for the period 11/07-20/07/11. It was fantastic. The hotel, the atmosphere all was perfect. Friendly staff and nice food with perfect sea view all around the hotel. The walk through the gardens is very romantic, (especially early in the morning or in the afternoon that is not very hot. xa xa xa!!!
God job. Bravo!!
