“Perfect getaway resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

A very nice resort hotel with a beautiful little private beach. Private pool was spacious although a little chiily. Even so we used it daily. The restaurants were good although we bought all drinks and snacks in Lidl which was a taxi ride away. The scuba diving on the hotel beach was good and well organised.

Room Tip: Ask for a south facing room to have sun on your pool to warm it.

This resort is beautiful, well organised, great service and in a stunning location. I would highly recommend it. to improve...? The cable car keeps breaking and the maps they handout and the signage make walking back to your room quite impossible as well. Something they need to fix.

Don't bother paying for the private pool rooms unless you want to pay to have it heated... It looks great but is far too cold!

The restaurants are great though service in the Italian is patchy.

This place is magical and there are no words that would entirely explain it. You have to experience it yourself.
We went there in late summer to have a relaxing holiday, away from the buzz of a big city. We were looking for a quiet place, good food and good service. We got all that and more. It started with the taxi ride from the airport to the hotel. The taxi driver was one of the nicest people we have ever met and gave us a warm welcome. He told us about the island, the people, the history and more. When we arrived to our hotel we knew more about Crete than other people know after a week.

When we stepped out of the car we were overwhelmed by the amazing view from the hotel's reception and were welcomed by a very friendly lady who was awaiting us with a big smile on her face. We fell in love with this place immediately. The staff of the hotel was always friendly, helpful and kind. When we asked they showed us a couple of available rooms in different price ranges so that we could pick the one we liked the most.

The hotel has a few restaurants and offers a 'best-in-class' room service. We ordered food to our room one night and expected the usual service when they roll in the food and leave the room. Not here, they asked us to give them 3 minutes and they prepared a romantic candle light dinner on our balcony with a rose, candles and amazing food. We were absolutely stunned!

If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet holiday with excellent service this is the place to go!!! We will be back, for sure.

My husband and I booked this for our anniversary and it was beautiful. It is only two years old and everything is crisp and new and designed and decorated to a very high standard. It is chic and the rooms are equipped very well - with all expected mod cons - walk in waterfall showers, mood lighting, ipod decks and a crazy lighting control pad which is something anoying! We had a deluxe luxury pool room - and the pool was cold! I would suggest that if you are booking one that is directly facing the sea and will be heated by the sun. The ones along the sides of the cove barely get any sun and are more of an ice bath which I used after a work out at the gym a few times. The one thing wonderful about this resort is the actual cive and the setting it is simply divine - the water is crytal clear and I would highly recommend snorkelling (bring your own if you can or buy them at the airport as the beach shop is pricey as is the hiring €15ppd). The food is ok but we went out to eat alot in the local town of Agnios Nikolos - there are lots of fab restuarants there and bars. there is one thing you must be aware - all drinks and food prices at this resort do not include Tax - so mak sure that you add 30% on to your budget. Mind you if you are at this resort that is not something you are probably worried about - a smalm prosecco is nearly €15 per glass with tax! Exoect to live it up and pay the pricce ;-) Also not to be missed is the burger at the beach bar during the day - to quote my husband this is the best burger he has ever eaten! Also very cool are the gondola lifts! Nice touch! We got a great deal for this and it was amazing - I would highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: If you are getting a non heated pool ask for one that is facing the sun and heated throughout the da...

Few words can explain the experience at this place.
You have to try it by yourself to understand.
An extra plus to the location is the spa facilities and the kindness of all the personnel.
Keep up the good work!

We travelled to Crete in October 2012 to this oasis on tranquility. It was booked on the internet, thro a company in the UK Freedom Travel. I was sceptical at first because the price was good and the deal we got was even better. 5* for 3* money.

When we arrived we were shown the view, from a very ordinary meeting point. We were then taken to the bar/lounge area for a welcome drink. We still had no idea of our surroundings, such was the discretion and empathyfor the landscape this property(s) had. They were all built into the landscape on a hillside rising up from the sea.

We were told the room we had booked a Deluxe Sea View Room was not available, oh dear we thought this is not going well. We were taken by Golf Cart to a 2 storey property with its own pool, with the most magnificant sea view, no less than a villa *!*,. It had two bedrooms with the most enormous beds, 2 bathrooms and an extra toilet. There was fresh fruit, a mini bar, and complementary water. It was indeed luxury, and we were waiting for the catch. In addition to our own private facilities, there was an enormous infinity swimming pool, spa facilities with indoor pool and its own private beach. The view was to die for.

We were on a half board basis, and the service and the food in the restaurant was outstanding. There were 2 additional restaurants which you could eat in with the dine around programme.

But. the best is yet to come, everynight a lady came round and turned the bed down, put a card with weather forcast for the next day and a fresh rose.

The concept of this place was amazing, definitely 5* and luxury everywhere.

Room Tip: Upgrade your room, you maybe lucky as we were. All the rooms were in suites or blocks or in villas...

If you are looking for a holiday with hustle and bustle and a stream of bars for entertainment then this is not the destination for you
our purpose for for the break was a week in peace, swimming and nice food but at a high standard.. Daios Cover certainly delivers

On arrival we were greated by the "red Carpet" by julia the host with some hot towells to freshen up and then taken to a glass walk way that leads on to a balcony over looking the cove whilst formalities of checking in were taken care of.
Wow what a beautiful setting
The hotel is built all along the cove and overlooks the sea and the private beach and infinity pools
we were upgraded straight away to a 2 bedroom villa which truely was perfect, to get about the resort there are golf buggies with the lovely staff happy to take you to and from your rooms and to the main part of the hotel, they were a quick call away and i have to say was very good fun
My main concern (being a mother with a toddler) was the private pool, before I even said anything our host advised me that maintainence would be straight round to put a safety fence all around the pool, what excellent service.
The villa was split level with a lovely terrace and loungers, lounge and king size bedroom and then upstairs was a superking size room with terrace and huge bath
maid sevice daily and turn down service
The half board (which im not a fan of usually) truely was 5*, themed evenings with everything from sea bass - squid - steaks and lamb cutlets, thats if you can pass the deserts
because we were in a villa we got a special part of the restaurant which was lovely

The grounds are well manicured and pretty, entertainment was at a minimum but if im honest we were a week before the resort closes so i expected this
We put our 21month old in to the child creche and was run extremely well by english/scottish girls and our little boy loved it, we decided to take the opportunity to go to the spa and have treatments (well worth it)

The staff at this hotel exceeded on customer service but certainly not over the top, they were a pleasure to chat to and could not do enough to make your stay even better
I can not exaggerate enough the gorgeous setting this hotel is situated in and throughly enjoyed our week here.
We did also hire a car and is a great way to see the island

What I will say also is we were on a family holiday and made to feel very welcome with the child clubs too but also the hotel was not too obvious with it so if you are looking for a honeymoon location or a couples holiday equally this place delivers, contempary furniture, boutique shops and cocktail bar, without children running around spoiling your peace and quiet

I have given the hotel an average score on location, solely because it is a get away from it all location, not for those wanting to be in the centre of attractions etc
