“Lovely garden but bring our own bread with :)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

Wonderful tavern with a lovely garden and ambiance. Even though we had to wait a while till we were offered the drinks at the beginning (all the waiters seemed to be very busy for quite a while), the rest of the service run really smooth - we felt taken care of. The choice of dishes was a pleasant change from the traditional and classic tavern offering. And even though for some of the starters the mix of the ingredients and spices could had been balanced slightly better for our taste (for instance, the parsley salad was overwhelmingly acid, killing the taste of the parsley while the lentil salad was a bit too plain), overall the quality of food met our expectations. The fish plate was a very good mix of the seafood. The bread basket though is something definitely to be improved - we were brought a nice and generously looking bread basked with the cover (you'd expect to find fresh, warm bread and maybe event a butter underneath). It was somewhat surprising to find only 4 thin and dry slices of white bread and 3 small paximadia. Hmm, what kind of calculation and what kind of saving was that? Apart from other small nuances, overall it was a lovely experience.

“Lovely Greek Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

Walked passed hotel, on way into Agios as staying at Coral Hotel. Looked at reviews, and decided to go based on the reviews. Waitress (Liverpool) was superb in explaining the dishes on the menu.

I decided on the Swordfish. It was so fresh very well cooked, I would visit the restaurant again and again. This was the best meal of my holiday

“Fantastic fish soup”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

We have been to this restaurant about six times between 2010 to 2013 and have thoroughly enjoyed our meal each time. If you go make sure when you are reserving your table you reserve a portion of their fish soup!

“A beautiful restaurant in a hidden place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

A beautiful restaurant in a hidden place. The food was amazing, I had grilled octopus and a lot of meze that were extremely delicious and fresh! The waiters are very attentive and friendly. A wide selection of great seafood, Greek fresh fruit and wine. The patio has a great tasteful design. Highly recommended.

“Still as good as ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Two years have passed since our last visit here, and, drum roll!, we still think it's really good. We had steak, perfectly cooked, Fava beans, mussels and anchovies, all excellent, and with friendly service which other Cretan restaurants would do well to emulate. There is also a quite charming singer/ guitarist who contributes massively to the ambiance, as do a few cats, which we love, but if you don't like them, just ignore them, the'll go somewhere else, just do not criticise a very decent restaurant for being cat tolerant. We have had nothing but nice experiences in Pelagos, they are lovely people and serve really good food ( and incidentally surprisingly good house wine) and we thoroughly recommend it.
