I'm a 'fifty something' single female back from two weeks here. I'd booked a late 'Allocation on arrival', meaning, I had no idea what resort or hotel I was going to be in, nor had I reviewed any information about Crete and what it has to offer. Bearing this in mind, I was more than happy with the choice that had been made for me.
This hotel is close enough to Malia centre (approx 10 mins walk), yet far enough away from its premier 'party' spot. It offers clean and tidy surroundings and very friendly staff. The self catering apartments were large and adequately stocked for me (i.e crockery, cutlery etc), however, some guests thought otherwise. The staff are more than happy to meet requests for needs (especially the very lovely Elene), just remember though, this is not The Hilton.
The pools are fantastic with an abundance of sunbeds thankfully. The restaurant offers very good food at very reasonable prices. Great hotel overall.' Tip' If you need to visit a pharmacy whilst there, avoid the one next door to Bar Drossia, opposite Hermes Bikes. I was riiped off bigtime by Stavrula Dimu who charged 7.5 euro for medication costing 2.26 everywhere else, despite prices being set by the government!! Don't go there, use the pharmacy on the rightside in opposite direction.
