“Great views, Scandinavian minimalism”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed here in June 2014 with the family.

We visited Delphi to explore the fabulous ruins. The choices seemed limited so we decided on the Amalia, since it seemed like a good option towards the higher end.

The hotel is located at one end of town, as many people reviewed, however the town itself is just a 10 min walk from end to end, so this is not an issue. We easily walked down for lunch and dinner while staying at the Amalia, along with our 4 year old.

The upside of staying "outside" town is that the property is spacious with a great pool and a nice large garden. The views are to kill for, as the hotel is on a higher elevation from the rest of the town...and pretty much every room has a great view. Looking behind you, you can see Mt Parnassus (is it?) towering over the hotel and the town...truly awesome. The common spaces inside are also great, with lots of space and minimal clutter.

Our room had a balcony, which I think all do as well, and this was a great spot to sit out and watch the sun go down. The decor of the room may seem dated to some but its quite cool, in that straight lines, minimalist sort of way. The bathroom was spacious but someone with a bad color sense chose those tiles...wowza.

We only had breakfast at the hotel and that was about par for the course. There were a lot of package tours using the lodgings, given that it is one of the few large hotels in town, but we didnt mind much.

We also used the pool and our kid had a blast swimming till 8pm in the summer sun.

There's not much to not like...but no big wow factor either. But I guess the showstopper here are the ruins, which are just a short walk down the hill.

I would actually come back to Delphi just to sit around and do nothing. Its quiet and its lovely. Arachova looks like another cool town and its just a 15 min down the windy road...maybe we will visit again!!

Room Tip: Get a higher floor in the upper wing...views will be better.

This hotel is located very close to Delphi. Nice rooms and seemed to be almost empty except for the group we were with. The colors of the walls in the hall were off putting to some but just made me think of olives. The room were spacious and comfortable. There is also a pool. The dinner was delicious with many choices. Breakfast was also excellent. A very nice place to stay close to Delphi!

Room Tip: All the rooms are in and off the street. Very quiet.

We had booked a 4 day guided tour throughout the historic sites in the area and this was our favorite city and hotel. Our package included meals, and everything about the food was authentic and wonderful. The bar and bartender were charming and a delight to spend a quiet evening with. Our trip happened a few years ago but we were discussing our favorite destinations with a friend and Delphi, this hotel and the sites came up as our most memorable. Thought it was time to share the love! Don't miss it if in the area.

This is a perfect hotel! The location is on the far side of the town but as everything in Delphi is easily walkable it's great to be tucked on the outside but so easily accessible. The rooms, ok, the decor is a tad dated but they are comfortable and well equipped. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. To be perfectly honest, one of the only reasons I booked this hotel was because of the pool and I'm so glad I did, the pool is great the views are stunning and it really is a gem of a hotel I wouldn't hesitate in recommending

This hotel wasn't particularly special but was a nice place to stay for two nights in Delphi. The best part of the hotel was the location and the pool. The pool was very large and used by many guests. Our complaints were small, not great food and not great staff. The hotel is very close to the ruins of Delphi. Perhaps a 20 minute walk.

A good hotel with excellent rooms, balcony with good views across the beautiful valley below. Very helpful staff especially in the restaurant where they served a good evening buffet meal. Nice bar and excellent breakfast too. Good place to stay just outside the hillside main town.
