Myself and my girlfriend stayed in Hotel Parnassos in February, 2005 for 2 nights.
++ The Location ++
Delphi is a 3 one-way streets affair. If you are driving from Olympia, the hotel is on the street heading towards the Temple of Apollo. It is easy to find and is located in the middle of the street right in the heart of Delphi. It is within easy walk to all the ancient sites.
++ The Hotel ++
Do not expect that it is a Las Vegas Bellagio Hotel. The hotel is a small-medium size. As you enter the hotel, you will pass through a lobby with a fire place with the restaurant on your right hand side which serves free buffet breakfast to hotel guests. It also has 4 computers with internet access for a small usage fee and a flat screen TV.
There is a small elevator to the hotel room.
The corridor is a bit dark.
There is no parking area (but I dont think any hotel in Delphi has parking anyway). You wil need to park it on the street.
++ The Room ++
The room is small, simple but adequate. It is a little bit dark.
Despite you ask for a double bed, it will comes with 2 joint-single beds put together. It has a small TV with local channels, a writing desk and a wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower cubic. Soaps and towels are supplied.
The room is clean and has telephone.
** What I like about the Hotel **
1. The elavator
2. The breakfast
3. The PC with Internet
4. The Plasma TV at the Restaurant
5. The Fireplace at the lobby
** What I dont like about the Hotel **
1. The insufficient lighting
2. The 2 joint-single beds.
3. The room size.
4. The lack of parking.
++ Overall Comment ++
If you are looking for a luxurois hotel, dont stay here because it is not. (in fact dont stay in Delfi but stay in Athens instead). Parnassos Hotel is in the tourist town and everything here is expensive. Nonetheless, the hotel does provide you with a service at a reasonable price at this touristy town and also in a convenient location near the ancient sites.
