“Awesome Hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2011

George and his wife were fantastic hosts. We arrived at about 10 PM and George was there to meet us when we pulled up. In fact, he had saved us a parking spot immediately in front of the hotel. The rooms are modest, but very clean and should be fine for a short stay. The service makes up for any modern amenties which may be lacking.

A nice hotel to stay in Delphi. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. Very good value for money. Everything was as it was advertised and more. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed two nights while exploring the ruins in Delphi - which are within easy walking distance. The room was clean with plenty of space : ours faced the courtyard at the back but we weren't here for a view - and anyway you can stroll across the road to a restaurant to take in the amazing scenery to the coast while enjoying the local food and wine. The location in the middle of town is ideal but still very quiet at night. George and Vicky were very friendly and helpful hosts, and breakfasts memorable - the best yoghurt we tasted in all Greece. George also helped us arrange alternative transport when the bus trip from Delphi to Meteora proved to be a bit problematic. Great value for money with B&B warmth and comfort.

George and Vicky could not have been nicer during our stay and in answering my many emails as I planned our trip. My husband and I spent one night with our 2 adult children. George recommended 2 double rooms next to each other, separated from the rest of the hotel by a door, and it was a perfect arrangement, No street noise at all, so we slept quite well. The hotel is spotlessly clean and is obviously run with a great deal of pride by George and Vicky. Like other reviewers, we enjoyed a meal at the restaurant across the street and its stunning view of the valley below Delphi all the way to the sea. From the hotel it is an easy walk to the ruins and museum at Delphi.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room, away from the street.

We stayed for one night in June 2011 - Pitho Rooms was a great choice. It's not a fancy place, but George and Vicky were gracious, welcoming and helpful hosts, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was generous. We enjoyed a dinner in George's cousin's taverna across the street (with stunning views of the valley - a beautiful spot to watch the sun set). And the location was perfect for exploring the museum and archaeological sites. I would recommend it!

We wish we had stayed more than one night in this wonderful small hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and functional, as well as beautiful. Our hosts, George and Vicky, went out of their way to guide us and make our stay pleasurable, from guiding us on the ancient sites to recommending an amazing restaurant for dinner. Delphi is an incredible village and this is a terrific place to stay.
