“I would go again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

The food was good, even if slightly more pricey than other places. It was nothing exceptional, bot nothing to complain about either.

“Flavors of the East, deliciously prepared!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

just finished a wonderful, interesting meal. They bring ouzo and olive/pepper meze to start. We ordered the really fresh Tzitzikas salad and one of the best eggplant salads I've had. Lunch was the 'tigania' (sauteed pork bites in wine, feta and honey and a fabulous 'mastihato' (chicken breast chunks on a bed of kataifi dough in a mildly sweet sauce with mastic, bacon and onions). A carafe of red wine made this meal perfect!

“Didn't live up to the hype”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

We were staying in Syntagma Square, and this restaurant seemed like a very popular choice in the area, so we decided to give it a try. The decor of the restaurant is quite informal and feels a bit like a canteen. We shared a starter of Greek pastries, and then had the famous chicken masticha and a fried seafood dish for mains. The chicken dish was quite interesting, and had flavours which I hadn’t come across before. As others have mentioned, portions were huge, and we couldn’t finish either of our mains. Service was fairly good. However, on the whole the food was a bit disappointing. We had many excellent meals during our visit to Greece, but this one didn’t really stack up to the others. It was quite cheap, with our bill for 1 starter, 2 mains and 1 glass of wine coming to €43, including a tip. I wouldn’t return here.

“Good food and lots of it....for a reasonable price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

What we really like about the place is that the serving portions were generously for a very reasonable price. The food was pretty good considering how affordable it was. Great and fast service. All the dishes came out piping hot.

We highly recommend this place for large groups. We had 10 people and we got a nice big table without feeling cramped. Everytime we passed by this place after 8-9pm, it was always packed with locals. So if you want to get a table, go early and eat on tourist time. Haha!
