We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and in 2 VERY different rooms. The first was at the 4th floor and it was awful: a very tiny drywall construction (the outer walls as well!) in which the noise from the street was unbearable. When we made the reservation we were promised a spacious deluxe room in the old building with high ceiling and this room was nothing like that. There was a very impolite young woman in the reception with foreign accent who insisted that this was the room we were promised. The next day we were about to leave despite the fact that we had a not refundable reservation, but luckily in the reception was a different lady who was very polite and friendly and she manage to move us in a room on the first floor which was great: good soundproof and spacious, just like the room in the pictures. Even though the room was in the first floor there were no noise neither from the street nor from the bar.
As a conclusion, there are huge differences between rooms and between the hotel staff, so your stay there is a gamble.

Room Tip: Do not accept a room at the 4th floor! Room No 109 at the first floor is a good choice.

The overall appearance of the hotel is exactly what you see on the photos, however not every room does look like the photos, for example my room, however it was still a nice room with an 'elegant' feel to it, minus the draping effects. The breakfast was ok, not much choice but still nice. However the reason why i would go back to this place would be for the location of the hotel. Not even a 5 minute walk from a high street of cafes and an amazing cake shop called ironically 'Cake' and if further on the the district of Plaka. But all in all the staff were very pleasant, rooms cleaned everyday and just a perfect location for every site to be seen in Athens, no real need to use the metro as i did it pretty much all on foot!!

I stayed at the hotel in February 2013. Although I had book a room for 13 days, I only stayed 2 days.
The hotel is situated in a a very busy street with a lot of traffic. I was moved to a room in the rear side to avoid the noise of the traffic. Unfortunately, it was raining in the night and the noise of the rain gutter was horrible. I had to call the reception in the middle of the night to confirm themselves the noise, which they did.
Apart from that, the two rooms I used during my short stay, were very small. The toilets were clean but basic. There is hardly any desk-space for opening a laptop and a document at the same time. The web site of the hotel makes an impression that is deceiving regarding the quality of this hotel.
Upon my departure, I asked for reimbursement, which was not granted on the basis that I had an early booking based on a special offer that was not refundable.
My verdict; unless one must go low budget, he should not book this hotel.

Room Tip: Unless one must go low budget, he should not book at this hotel.

I have seen a few poor reviews for this hotel but they must come from travellers with little experience. This place is, as others say, great value for money and well-positioned. Good local restaurants are within easy reach. Most major sights are easily walkable. The metro is handy for further trips. The rooms are of a fair size, traditionally furnished, but with a good-sized bed and pleasant toilet/shower area. The rooms were well cleaned every day with fresh towels provided more often than most hotels. The reception team were very friendly, polite and helpful whenever approached. I am not so sure about the bar, which was loud and pricey in our only visit. Nevertheless, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend the hotel without reservations.

Room Tip: The back of the hotel was certainly peaceful. Room 202, if you need to know.

Great location and price, 5 minutes from Museum Acropolis, and close to metro. Very good value for money for a Capital city and a central location. Room was decent, with shower, overlooking a busy main road. Loved the little basement bar, cosy and atmospheric, staff were brilliant. A good find and would be happy to return.

This hotel is situated about a five minute walk from the Acropolis and easily reached from the airport by the excellent Athens metro. We were paying €55 for a double room and breakfast. The room was more than adequate for the price and there was also free wifi. Breakfasts were good, although I don't know why they don't keep the "hot" food warm especially as it is in the kind of containers which would allow for this!
One warning though: the hotel is on a VERY busy road, there is traffic all night; the rooms are not 100% soundproofed and sleeping with an open window would be impossible .I am someone who is not particularly sensitive to noise yet I was disturbed by it. There are three bedrooms at the back apparently so it would be an idea to try for one of those if you are worried about the noise.

I was in Athens few days ago so news are fresh.

About hotel - located in Singrou Street, not so far away from Acropolis.
Fastest way to get the hotel from ATH Airport is metro. You must go to Egaleo Line (only this line is on airport) and go to Syntagma Station. There you should change metro for Red Line and go 2 stations to Syngru Fix. Hotel is located about 200 m. from this stations. One way ticket cost 8EUR but for 2 persons are cheapest and cost 14EUR.

Hotel are small, there is only 20-30 rooms. I will start from the staff - they was very friendly. In my opinion Greeks are most freindly people that I ever meet.

Room was small but nice. I have got nr. 202 so it is room from inside site. From windows you can see some green plants and another buildings. From street site it can be little noisy I can guess. In the hotel it is elevator.
Bed was comfortable, possible also to get some baby cot if you travel with child.
Bathroom was also ok. It was not any bath tube, only shower.

As on the small hotel breakfast was very rich - few kinds of meat, some greeks specials, cheese, eggs and fresh orange juice.

Price for the hotel: 52EUR per night for double room. Fair deal !

In the end - what I didn't like:
* To small garbage box in the room,
* Not any market close in the area,
* Only Greeks TV channels ... but who came to Athens to watch TV :)

I recomend this hotel - good place for holiday in Athens.
