“Good hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

Good small and friendly hotel, good location, very nice food at the cafe/bar of the hotel. Little small room and too much noise from the road. Easy to find it. The breakfast is poor but you can find all the main things.

Room Tip: The room are only for two people. Are too small.

it was the first time in that hotel. Actually i found it while on road and because of its location i said "lets take a quick look of a room". my first impression was that the room is clean, personnel helpful, price was normal. i said ok. after that during my stay i discovered that also food (fresh day food) was good enough and breakfast quite good of what i expected.
Mavili square is beside at metro station quite near.

So really it will be one of my first choices fir my next journey in Athens

My wife & I have stayed here for the past 7 years. After trying a multitude of other hotels we really appreciate the friendly service and homey atmoshere of this hotel. The food in the hotel restaurant is great and extremely low priced compared to other places. Any requests we have made of the staff have been met immediately. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Athens.

Room Tip: We enjoy the front of the hotel which is on a major street to downtown Athens and the view is great.

Nice clean hotel, with a nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was good and the waiter filled it constantly so nothing was missing. The restauarant had god food - though a little menu. The location is a bit outside the tourist area but it is easy to take the metro to the city center or just walk.

Good hotel central to the metro 30 mins from the airport.

Basic but everything that you need , food was excellent . Local salads recommended.

Good bar open late just 5 mins away near the USA embassy.

If you get to the acropolis go to the " a for athens bar " its a roof top venue and you can see the acropolis from the roof.

OK, the room's not big. The A/C was barely adequate in August. There were no amenities like robes and slippers etc. But there was a fridge, so you could bring your own drinks. The room was spotless clean, also the bathroom, although the shower was tiny, and there was no tub. But I was traveling alone, and only there for sleeping, so it was adequate. Breakfast was adequate. The cafe's food and wine was above average, and they are open until 11 pm, and their staff, as well as the front desk people were super helpful and kind. So if you're looking for a clean place to wash and crash for the night while you spend your days touring Athens, this will work for you. I was sent there by the Euroclinic while my husband was in hospital there, and was able to walk back and forth. So it was adequate and ideal for me.

I am a frequent traveller to Athens for business purposes. At the same time I often invite business customers to meet up there. I have tried all kinds of hotels in Athens: some more of the "high-end" ones, multiple "cheaper" ones, some in the center, some out of the center etc. At this point I feel confident to state that Athinais hotel is the best value for money I have seen so far. It is located in a safe area, in one of the main Athens avenues, close to a metro station. The infrastucture is exactly what the hotel website demonstrates - nothing more, nothing less. I still believe that the visitor will be positively surprised by the personnel, the friendly-family atmosphere that is at the same time welcoming business travellers. The hotel offers wi-fi internet access for free, which for me does make a difference. The cafe-restaurant (I would call it more of a brasserie) located in the ground floor is indeed a great choice for one to grab a bite, hold a quick business meeting at a reasonably priced spot without the usual noises at such places. I would definitely recommend it without a doubt both for business travellers as well as tourists.
