“Fabulous Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

We (3 of us) had reserved a six bedroom mixed dorm but when we checked in only two beds were clean. Without hesitation, they instantly upgraded us to a nice studio with just three beds and a kitchenette without charging us an extra penny. We ended up wanting to extend our stay in Athens so we reserved the room for another night and again they gave us an amazing price for an awesome room! We were so thrilled! After sleeping on overnight trains and on ferries, we were incredibly thankful for their generosity. The staff was so easy to work with and sweet.

We actually came back through Athens a few days later on our way back out of Greece and again, they upgraded us because they were able to. The rooms were extremely clean and new looking. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! It was a great experience!

The Athens Studios was our start and end accommodation whilst traveling around the Greek Islands!! The location was fabulous, easy to find and has an amazing selection of restaurants just around the corner (Best Moussaka EVER... wish I could remember the name of the place!!).

We stayed in two different 3 bed studio rooms. One was a bit nicer than the other but overall very comfortable and extremely clean!!

Would stay again in a heartbeat!! Do not listen to what anyone says about Athens it is one of my favourite cities!!!!

If you plan to stay there renting one of the studio flats with tv and fridge that's fine. Breakfast is average (bred, butter, jam), bars downstairs are more expensive than average but it doesn't matter because the location is great.
But if you plan to book a bed in one of rooms that is used as a hostel room then you have better options in Athens for this price. As a hostel, Athens Backpackers (belongs to same company) is a better option. Athens Studios doesn't have communal areas except for both bars downstairs. So if you want to sit with your friends you will have to pay for the drinks, you can't just make yourself a tea and chat after a long day.

Room Tip: don't book a bed in a room, book a room. or chose another place.

I am still smiling with the memories of this place. A lot of people and online reviews told me to bypass Athens and head straight to the islands. Honestly I am now glad the ferries were on strike and held me back in Athens for an extra day.

I stayed at the Athens Studios (a 3 minute walk from the backpackers) for 3 nights and had a blast! The staff were so friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy with a little kitchenette and ensuite.

The location is really close to all you need. Metro a couple of minutes walk, restaurants/café’s literally the next street up. Acropolis is within walking distance as is other must see’s. And I remember my roommate saying there was a beach nearby.

During the day there is a walking tour that goes at 10am for 6 euro and it covered all the highlights of Athens in a couple of hours. The rooftop bar at the backpackers overlooks the Acropolis. Nice place to chill with a beverage and meeting others. Also there is a sports café (downstairs from the studios) that has events on at night. I was there for karaoke night and one competitive game of jenga .. loads of fun!!

Lastly make sure you sample the great fish n chips at the fish café. The chef is a wonderful cook (and super helpful) and the burgers (I didn’t get the chance to try) have a rep for being the best in town!

Thanks to all the friendly staff for the great atmosphere you create. You made my solo trip one I’ll never forget ☺

Very clean and neat place, walking distance from the Acropolis and many more interesting place. Yota, one of the staff members was very helpful, she gave us so many good recomendations on what to do and where to go, she was great.

My first impression started the minute I opened the door to our room. The pictures on the website perfectly match the room (no surprises). The room was well maintained. The staff wonderfully polite, friendly and most of all, helpful. The best part for us was the location (right in the middle of Athens - minutes from the Acropolis). Their facilities include a cafe, laundromat and sports bar - in short everything you need is just steps away. Cannot beat the convenience. All this being said - we would definitely go there again and I've told everyone within earshot - if you want to go to Athens; stay at the Athens Studios. Life is good! Thanks to all for making this trip such a wonderful experience!

I stayed at Athens Studio for two nights and wished i could stay longer. The studio is spacious with kitchen and balcony, very clean. Free Wifi. The location is perfect, 1 minute walk from the Metro station and a few blocks away from Acropolis. There's a restaurant and sports bar downstairs. A lot of fun! Besides, the rate included free breakfast. The girl named Yota, who works at the reception desk was lovely and very helpful. The other staff George is informative and friendly. Over all, it was a great experience. I'll definitely go back if i visit Athens again.
