Visiting Athens on my own for 4 nights on a budget I decided on this hotel. NOT in a nice area espically for a woman on her own but I was warned by previous reviews. No disabled access so quite a strugle with a suitcase and hand luggage. The receptionist saw me and ran out to help. Tiny lift, I was on 6th floor. Struggled to get in room as door sticks due to too many layers. Room is tiny, so is bathroom, one foot in shower to use loo. I had a balcony, no furniture on it so had to carry the chair out from the room. Wardrobe didn't look clean so refused to unpack, safe in wardrobe, liked as could put on code in. Flat screen Tv that took some time to warm up, no English speaking only channels except MTV and Nickleodeon. Mmmm, great for kids. I wasn't impressed until I really looked out of the window...... I had a fabulous view of the Acropolis, apparentely one of the only rooms that did. Forgave them everything else wrong with room. Breakfast was continental but never got a chance to eat it. 1st day off to the Acropolis before the crowds, 2nd and 3rd days going on coach trips that were picking me up just as breakfast started. There is a lovely coffee bar that does snacks. That was a godsend as there was no way I was going out at night, I had been hassled just going to get some water from a middle eastern man in a doorway at 8pm. The staff make the place. They can't do enough for you, helpful, friendly. Would I stay here again? Only with my husband and for a few nights again.
