“Good budget hotel - comfortable and delightful stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2011

We travelled in a group of four and we requested for 2 double/twin room that are connected. Air-conditioner is provided - perfect after a day out in Athens during the hot summer! Speed of wi-fi is fast and buffet breakfast is provided across the road at dodici cafe. Breakfast is great with boiled eggs, bread, ham, salami, cheese, cereal, biscuits, croissants, orange juice, peaches etc. The only dislikes are the room is small and the hairdryer provided isn't that useful so bring your own. Bottled water are provided on the day of arrival and there is a mini fridge available in the room. Elevator is small and fits a maximum of 3 people (without luggage!). Hotel is very close to metro station (1-2 mins walk) and only a few stops away from akropolis and syntagma metro station (get the 24 hour pass that costs 4 euros if you're in athens for 1-3 days). Good choice of location. Definitely recommend this hotel to budget travellers!

We stayed for a night due to a morning flight we had to take to Mykonos.
Very helpfull service at the reception about the info we needed. The room was clean and tidy but some repairs are needed in A/C plug and WC ventilation. We also could hear next rooms toilets.
I hope next time will be better!

Hotel looked fine from the outside, less when we got in. But the receptionist was warm and helpful. In fact all three hotel tenders (can't remember names, sorry) were fantastic, giving tips, helping me with a broken lock, serving biscuits and coffee, etc. Honestly, a great crew!

My first room was overlooking the street. Double glazed windows were not enough to keep the noise (including a row between a street-couple) at bay. Next day I was cheerfully given at room at the back of the 7th floor. The room too was a bit of an improvement in terms of furniture. A clean but very oddly placed bathroom though.

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay for 2-3 days I have no problem saying stay here. Great staff and central location make up for the somwhat bleak rooms and dodgy area.

Nice hotel. There's no luxury, but the location is good.
The room is cozy.
I recommend it for someone who wants to spend a little money.

We were originally meant to be staying in a hotel in the omonia area of athens however when we arrived the area was so dodgy we werent willing to get out of the taxi. The taxi driver then took us to this hotel.
The area is still not great, and we didnt feel that safe walking at night, however it is close to all amenities and seemed fine during the day.
The hotel was good value for money and the room was comfortable and clean. There was free WIFI in the lobby, and the breakfast was good.
The service was one of the best we have had during our 2 month trip. They were friendly and very helpful, giving us maps and directions and highlighting various activities for us to do. Overall the hotel was good value.

This hotel did what we needed it to, cheap rooms for one night
while waiting for coach next day. 140 euros for 2 rooms.
Clean basic accommodation. A welcome sight after 36 hours travelling. However would not spend my holiday here.

Taxi driver took us to this hotel (1st mistake!) in very convenient area with metro station just 2 mins away.
Reception area is ok but wished we had checked the room out first. Once out of the lobby, the hotel is tatty & shabby. The room was clean with fresh linen but the room looked & was sad, with cheap furniture, spongey beds, a small bathroom which had no ventilation fan.
Noisy people in corridor in early hours of morning, doors banging shut, I did not feel safe. Walls are thin so you can hear next rooms tv. The doors also rattle when window open & you can hear the drone of the small lift going up & down during the night.
The website for this hotel looks good but believe me it is deceptive.
Felt totally ripped off by the price charged by this below par Hotel.
1 night was enough for me at this place, went over the road & for 10 euros more found fantastic hotel (Hotel Katerina - same **catagory) 500% better with room internet access & breakfast included.
Certainly would not wish Hotel Nafsika on anybody!
