Nice but basic hotel. Clean rooms and basic breakfast. Very friendly and helpfull personal.
It's located near the big square opposite the Parliament and therefore an ideal base for checking all attractions out.
Note that almost all attractions like the Acropolis have free entrance during the winter season.

We stayed for three nightts at the Pan Hotel, it is only three star so the rooms are pretty basic but good and clean, the staff are friendly and the breakfast very simple but the hotel is located just off Syntagma Square on Mitropoleos Street which runs right on down to Monastikeraki where there is another useful Metro Station and a flea market. From the hotel there is easy access to the Plaka district and all the ancient sights.

I have stayed in Pan Hotel many times since traveling in Greece - I go back because of the great location (close to: metro, airport bus, Syntagma Square, travel agency, acropolis and other interesting places and good restaurants) clean and comfortable rooms, and the helpful friendly staff who are happy to help with whatever problems one has. This hotel can be relied upon to produce excellent service at all times.

The good:
+ great location, close to Syntagma Square and a short walk from the Acropolis
+ very nice and helpful staff
+ decent breakfast included
+ clean rooms with air conditioning
+ good value for money
+ convenient if you come from Athens airport: Syntagma station is on a direct metro line from the airport

The bad:
- not particularly well decorated

All in all, a great place to stay overnight in Athens for a low price. Perfect if you are traveling with friends, you can share one of their 4-bed bedrooms. I wouldn't stay a whole week in this hotel though.
