This hotel is located in a not so nice neighborhood, I stayed there for a congress and it had a very good price and it was near to a metro station.
However, only by the time we were already there, we found out that Omonia, once known for being a very nice neighborhood, was now popular for the prostitutes and drug dealers.
Anyway, we stayed there for 10 days and we used to walk a lot by night, and nothing happened.
I wouldn't recommend it if you are travelling with children or on a honeymoon, but as i said, it's not as dangerous as it seems, so if you are planning on saving a few bucks and you are travelling in a large group (we were a party of 7 by that time) it shouldn't be a big problem.
Overall the hotel is really nice. Rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and the staff is very helpful.
In addition to that there is a really nice restaurant nearby, where they serve the perfect Greek food.
The staff of the hotel can help you arrange some trips but I would recommend you to get some information before in order to save a few bucks. We took the tour for Aegina, Poros and Hydra, and we found out (when the boat left us in Poros for being late), that there were other options to visit the islands (like the Flying Dolphins)
