“Athens at 37 degrees C”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Business trip (congress) stayed for 4 days at the O&B AThens Boutique Hotel

Plus:English speaking very friendly and service minded staff
Hotel in all places (public and room) nicely furnitured, decorated and very clean!
Airconditioning during days of 35 up to 40 degrees Celcius excellent performance!
Minus:No outside area in hotel like roof or small garden.
Don't judge neighbourhood on first impression because it looks a little bit dirty and old
It's safe! Nice taverne on the corner and nice bar terras just across the corner with
friendly staff!

Instead of what traveler guides write, everyone understands English!

This hotel is fabulous. Among the graffiti of Athens lies this gem. The place was very clean and the staff very helpful. As soon as we arrived we got a snack of feta, olives, cucumber, and raki. The location is also fabulous. It is walkable to the Acropolis and all the sights up there as well as to the Acropolis museum (which is also recommended). It's also just around the corner to the famous sandal shop where "The Poet" works. The neighborhood (Psiri) has a ton of delicious restaurants nearby. Lastly, the breakfast was yummy and the service very attentive.

Room Tip: ask for the back view from the hotel and you'll have more privacy.

We loved this very modern hotel. Great location in a very local part of town. We were lucky enough to be there over weekend so had all the local markets on as well as plenty of live music in the restaurants. Easy walking distance to everything. The managers and staff take great pride in their hotel and no request is a problem. Breakfasts were great and we also had a lovely dinner.

Great hotel, great location, only minutes walk from Monastiraki. Staff were great, rooms were always clean. Not much to fault. Only things I could find wrong was the wifi, in our room, at times was weak and the fridge, which wasn't a big deal for us, wasn't cold. The street the hotel is in looks dodgy, but safe. Once you spend enough time in Athens, you realize the street is fine. We spent 6 nights in the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.

A really hot hotel in a central and most interesting part of Athens. The area of Psiri is a very old area containing many artisan workshops,in fact from our room no.21 we had a view across the road of a craftsman making sandals. It is an easy walk to to the Acropolis
and other sites.Breakfast a lovely buffet with fruit, eggs etc and very nice staff.
Rooms and shower room nice and big, clean with a nice large balcony
We found getting about in Athens by taxi "always" on the meter was the easiest and so cheap.

We arrived directly from a sailing trip feeling pretty tired of travelling. O & B provided the perfect haven to recuperate and explore Athens. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - they gave us tips on were to go and where to eat, which were spot on. The room was exactly what we needed, spacious, clean, cool and quiet (on 2nd floor). The bathroom was the immaculate. The location allows to easily explore the most obvious sites in Athens as well as make excursions to Gazi area nightlife. I will come back again for sure.

The O&B Athens is located within walking distance to everything you might want to see and do in Athens. The Plaka, Syntagma Square and the Acropolis are all close by. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and spoke perfect English, they gave us a map of Athens, pointing out the best routes to go to see the sights and also offered suggestions of areas to visit for food and drinks. The room was clean, extremely modern and surprisingly big for a city center hotel although this was probably due to the face we had been upgraded free of charge to a Grand Superior room. Breakfast was a buffet style continental affair, fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, croissants, freshly squeezed juice etc. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to experience Athens from a luxurious base in the cradle of civilisation should definitely consider the O&B Athens.

Room Tip: We booked a superior room but were upgraded free of charge to a grand superior room.
