My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 days in April prior to a cruise. The hotel is very modern, extremely clean and most important for tired travelers QUIET. The hotel is well located to all the major attractions and the Metro system. The staff is excellant and was always eager to assist . What a great find!!

I booked our stay at the Ochre and Brown based on reviews on Trip Advisor and also because it was written up in the Athens Wallpaper City Guide. We stayed our first night in the Hilton (because we had points for a free night's stay) and our second night at the O&B. The O&B in my opinion was far superior. Okay - it did not have a swimming pool, gym or the scenic Galaxy Bar. Nonetheless, the rooms were actually cleaner, the hotel staff MUCH friendlier, and the location even better. I like the feel of small boutique hotels. When we arrived, the staff was aware that it was our honeymoon and went to the trouble to prepare the room with 2 glasses of white wine. We stayed in a room with a view of the Observatory. Although it was a smaller room, the bed was comfortable, the room clean and comfortable and the bathroom was amazing! the best showerhead in the world!! The breakfast (included) was excellent - you could choose from many different options. (no breakfast included at the Hilton).

Without a doubt the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed at. A lovely room with a view of the Acropolis hill and Athens rooftops. Nice size, very well furnished and a great bathroom.

Thanks to the young man at breakfast I now know how to properly steam milk for cappuccino. We were greeted, helped to our room, given instructions for things happening, and how to get around.

The location is half a block from the entertainment district, and two blocks from antiquities. Never a problem walking, even late at night. Close to the metro. And an hour before we were to leave on Sunday afternoon, with our room safe locked, they tracked down the engineer on his day off to find out how to get it open so we could retrieve our passports.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in September 2007. The hotel is located in an "interesting" part of Athens and can be a little difficult to find but that should not put you off. The area is not bad, and it is an easy 5-10 minute walk to the tourist centre of Athens and about a 5 minute walk from the subway. The reception staff were very good (friendly and professional) and the public areas of the hotel (while small) are very well set out and decorated. The rooms are very well appointed (flat screen TV, DVD played etc, etc) and very clean but they are quite small which should not be a problem if you are planning to spend your time site-seeing. The bathroom was very nice and very clean. We had breakfast at the hotel which was superb. Meals are made to order, from fresh ingredients and it was excellent. Finally, our flight was not until quite late in the evening on our checkout day and when we asked for a late check-out this was not a problem for the staff which topped off a great stay. I would not hesitiate to recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Athens.
