We just returned from a 7 days trip to Athens. We stayed in an Executive Apartment, which proved to be nicely decorated and very comfortable and spacious! A separate living room, with sofa, sitting area and a desk with free internet connection! The bedroom had a very comfortable King sized bed. A nicely designed ceiling in bathroom! The kitchenette was fully equipped, although we mainly used the fridge and the free tea and coffee facilities. The view from our room was breathtaking, to the right 100 metres away the Acropolis and to the left not even 50 metres away the Hadrian Arch, especially evening time, with the lights upon it!
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet (Fresh orange juice, fresh fruits, eggs, bacon, feta with olives, Greek thick yoghurt, nuts, Greek sweets and more!) The staff was wonderful, very nice and professional. They really cared and always there to advice or help. They gave us complimentary Champaign on arrival! A list of restaurant recommendation made by previous guests was very helpful. We had some nice meals in Plaka, at Psaras, Sholarhio and Elia.
The location in Plaka is absolutely fabulous, in the midst of all, but in a quiet street. It has so much to offer, historic monuments, museums, pitoresque houses and alleys, all at walking distance. We did not get enough of it! We realised this even more after having also walked through some other areas. We had nearly booked a hotel in Psiri, but we were glad we had not, as the area does not look attractive at all, just some restaurants and bars (for youngsters mainly) and a lot of graffiti, nothing of interest to visit, unless we missed it?

We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to everybody who wants the best location, comfortable and spacious apartment, good helpful and knowledgeable staff!

We picked this hotel due to the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not let down. It is located in a perfect location in the Plaka within walking distance to all the main sites, and the Acropolis Metro train station (we caught a train from the airport). It is in a well lit street, and was not noisy. We stayed in the top floor suite which was huge particularly by Athens standards. It had a very large balcony overlooking the street and the Acropolis. It had a fully stocked kitchen and a large living room. The hotel staff were very friendly and gave great advice. Free internet access was available. Breakfast buffet was included in the room charge and was more than enough.

We recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Athens and will stay again next time.

We are travelling for 6 months with two kids so finding nice, family friendly hotels with no surprises is at the top of our list of important travel requirements. We read some good reviews on the AVA hotel so we were hoping it was going to be OK. Our expectations were exceeded. Price, value, cleanliness, location and service were superb. We had a great suite on the top floor with a huge deck looking up at the Acropolis. The hotel is located at the end of the Plaka so while you have walking access to all the entertainment and activity, it is very quiet and feels very safe. The staff were a tremendous help and always very pleasant during our stay. The morning breakfast is very good with excellent selection and fresh fruit.

Would go back anytime!

Perfect location near the acropolis and tourist-y part of town. Great for a quick stay on the way to the islands. The rooms are nice and clean, service is welcoming and friendly and breakfast is very good.

We stayed at the AVA for 3 days prior to a cruise. The location in the Plaka couldn't be beat-wouldn't stay in any other location in Athens. Walked thru Plaka, and to Syntagma Square and close to the Metro station. The room was large with ample storage and included a kitchenette. The best part was the friendly staff who were helpful and couldn't have been nicer. Breakfast was ample, but cost extra.
