“Very convenient for a family stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

This hotel is a real find if you are looking for family accommodation in Athens. Huge suite for a couple plus 2 children with a balcony, an imense bathroom (with its own tv..) and a jacuzzi tub plus separate shower. Very nice and confortable. Excelent relation quality/price.
Location is residential and safe. Few restaurants on walking distance but there is a very good pizzeria near by and it's open 24/24 h. A greek restaurant is next to the hotel (didn´t try this one...)
On the negative side: very poor A/C in the room and in breakfast area. Lift is one of the smallest I've seen in the whole world (avoid if you are claustrophobic) but not an unique case in Athens...

Room Tip: Great family room!

We recently stayed at the Athens Atrium Hotel & Suites for 4 nights with the family. Let's start with the good points. Rooms are quite comfortable and the bathrooms have a jacuzzi and hydromassage showers. A huge plus after a long day touring Athens. Breakfast is adequate with a variety of hams and cheeses, breads, cereals, coffee, tea, juice, fruit, yogurt, eggs, bacon. Basic but enough. The staff is very friendly and they are always ready to provide tips on paces to go. The hotel's location is close to a bus stop and there's a mini market across the street and a pharmacy close by. The area is quite safe to take a stroll in the evening. You need about10 minutes by car to get to the Plaka.
The not so good points. AC in the room just changes the atmosphere, doesn't get cool enough. Can't open doors or windows due to mosquitoes and you can hear the neighbors.
All in all, it was a good stay and quite affordable.

Stayed for a number weeks (25+ nights over 3 months) at the Athens Atrium while in Athens on Business
Atrium is not a business hotel. But it did prove to be a cheap and clean place to stay. The Atrium is very flat, from the reception, to the bar, to the restaurant, to the rooms the hotel looks and is tired and flat. Breakfast is serve yourself buffet style. Content is OK but not great. You can order from a menu for lunch and dinner, but none of the tables are prepared so it doesn’t look too inviting. The Atriums main clients are tourists who stay one or two nights, eat elsewhere and then move on, never to return again...spend a longer time there and it gets to feel like a hostel. Noise can be a problem as it’s a regular stop off for overseas school parties and the aircon is very noisy and difficlt to control with the remote control (but it is effective!)

Great hotel to stay in especially if you're a family in my opinion as it's not too romantic. The triple Superior room i stayed in was spacious and clean with a balcony which was a nice addition even though the view wasn't of anything special, just the street outside yet still nice. Bathroom was very clean and smelled refreshing. The bathtub and shower combo didn't have a curtain which wasn't a bad thing for privacy since no one enters while you're in there but just allows some water to go on the bathroom floor. Not a problem however since it dries really quick in the summer weather. Don;t know if others room are the same though. Breakfast was really nice with many healthy options. mY visit had options of Cereal (muesli, regular cornflakes both plain and chocolate), fruit bowl, cakes, pastries e.g. mini croissant, deli meat (turkey and ham) pepperoni, bread rolls (brown seeded and plain), toast (both types), sunny side up eggs, mini sausages and bacon, watermelon, yoghurt (light and full fat), spreads and sliced cheese. The hotel isn't in the centre of Athens but don't worry as there is bus and metro transport very very close by getting you there very quickly. Buses 040, A2, and B2 will go to the centre (Acropoli or Syntagama). There are also café's, shops and 2 restaurants in the surroundings of the hotel if you want to go to any. Staff were VERY polite, friendly and helpful with a lot of patience. Room service was great too. There is also a small bar and and Atrium in the lobby which is nice to sit in when it's hot since there is a lot of air-con in the lobby area. The restaurant area itself where breakfast is also held is calm and well layout making you feel comfortable with a small water well to give calm background noise. Overall a wonderful hotel to stay in and would never think to regret it although i wish the breakfast had more options since I love my breakfast haha. Enjoy your stay guys. :)

Booked the hotel months in advance once we confirmed our sailing holidays and chose it because of its location. Its between the center and the coast, so convenient for the night prior to boarding onto yacht as its easy going into town and easy for going to kalamaki and you dont pay the prices you pay downtown. Our room was very nice and spacious, with jacuzzi:-) We asked for two additional beds for kids, both got a good single bed. Staff is extremely friendly and helpfull.

Extremely satisfied with our stay. The service was excellent and the staff went above and beyond.
We stayed there six nights in July 2013. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and properly serviced every morning.

The hotel is not in the center of the city but this was not an issue for us as public transportation was within walking distance.

Nice hotel. Cheap but great service. Clean rooms, free breakfast, free Wifi and a free one way taxi to the acropolis saving you 5 euros. Minibar in the room so you can stock up on cheap water bottles from outside. Daily room service to clean the room and give us fresh towels even when we took the days supply to the beach. Only reason stopping me from giving this 5 stars is the distance from the metro. Neos Kosmos station is a 15 to 20 min walk away which can be tiring in the June heat. We chose the 10 min walk to the tram which was one stop from Neos Kosmos. However, Neos Kosmos itself was only 3 to 5 quick metro stops away from the city centre areas around Syntagma and the Acropolis. The 15 euro weekly metro pass served us well during our 7 day stay as it allows use on metro, buses and trains.
