“Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

We really enjoyed this restaurant; located close to Syntagma, we found the pork souvlakia (kalamakia) really tender and delicious. The salads were generous sizes and we visited several times. We found the price reasonable and ate here afew times during our trip

“Not worth a visit”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

I'm not sure if we didn't rate this place because we had already eaten at Smile. The menu did not include many of the items previous reviewers had mentioned and the waiter was confused when I enquired after the dishes. If you are in Athens for a limited time and want to savour a traditional feta salad and gyro pitta visit Smile - Meatropolis3 was disappointing and overpriced for what you get :-(

“So good we are here twice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

We really liked this place. The portions are huge, the food was delicious and the service was friendly. The price wasn't out of control either - especially considering how much food you get. We found ourselves eating breakfast at the hotel and then lunch around 2pm at Meatrololeos 3 and we didn't need dinner. The view isn't anything to write home about, but it's in a convenient location to see other things nearby.

“Great grill”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

If you like eating souvlaki and greek burgers (bifteki), then this is a nice place to go to when on syntagma square. Very clean, helpful service, nice salads. The menu is simple but everything I tried was good, and the french fries were home made. I find the location not so good compared to the more traditional souvlakia restaurants at Monastiraki square as `Thanassis or Savas but the service, cleanness, and quality are better at Meatropoleos.

“Not worthy find something else in the area”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

We visited the place with the hope to have a decent tasty quick meal in a good price (two adults, two kids)
well the price was not bad (although not really cheap for the overall experience) but pretty much everything else was
the food was of very poor quality (i have eaten much more better souvlaki in so many places in Athens)
fried potatos just acceptable not junk food but no way the freshly cut they were supposed to be, no way guys i know exactly how freshly cut fried potatos are
tzatziki , well it was ok (the only thing it was tasty)
boiled vegetables just ok
small pitas i have seen much better staff elsewhere
service very indifferent
there are plenty of other options in the area and around no way i will return there i prefer to grab something from the kiosk or a bakery
the aftertaste very unpleasant
after that meal i simply wanted to have plenty of sodas, i finally ate an icecream just in order to change the taste and forget the horrible taste and smell of pork souvlaki ia had (my husband hate it too, my daughter and son (9 and 7) practically ate nothing and believe me when we go to places with good food they eat pretty much everthing from kebab to tzatziki and even spicy staff.
