“View is worth the effort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We walked uphill to get to the base and then took the funicular tram that runs under the hill to get to the top. That experience is not so wonderful but the view from the top is quite good. There is not much else up there besides a somewhat deserted cafe.

“No other view could compare to this one”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

It is a hike, first you have to get to the hill, then to walk up it. I'm not a big hiker, and I managed fine. My husband carried our 2 1/2 year old daughter up (not too keen on having her walk up it herself with such steep falls and no railings) It was worth it. Breathtaking views. You can see everything in Athens. Absolutely everything. Bring water.

“Higher than Acropolis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

This place is higher than the acropolis and extremely windy. You can either walk up to the top which is quite steep or take the tram which costs, but cuts a large amount of time and effort. There is a nice little church on top and a restaurant. The feeling of the cool breeze on you is something you won't feel anywhere else in athens. Amazing pictures can be taken as you look down on the city and the acropolis in the distance.

“Higher that Acropolis! fatastic views/sunsets!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

If you can walk up do so, if not take funicular. There is a church, and a restaurant on the summit. Should stay for the sunset, then you will have an unforgettable evening!

“Great views at sunset”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Worth going up just for the photo opportunities. The restaurant is affordable. The little church on the top is also worth seeing.
