I was traveling alone so I wanted to stay as near as possible to the attractions. Not necessary, as I discovered as Athens is served by efficient metro system.
Hotel Hera is just a few hundred meters away from the entrance to the Acropolis and Acropolis museum (which is also near the metro station). Staff was helpful and friendly, room was very comfortable and breakfast was good. Price was a bit expensive and I had expected more for the price.
They helped arranged for airport pickup, which was convenient.
