“Delicious food and good wine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

We have eaten here twice in the past week. Both times, the food, wine, and service have been excellent. The eggplant saganaki is delicious. The wine is produced by the owner's family and is very reasonably priced and easy to drink!

“A discovery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

We ate for the second time at this charming tavern in the heart of Athens and the excellent impression was confirmed. A rich variety of dishes both appetizers and main courses is offered, based on traditional greec recipes but with a creative extra. A group of six we ordered 11 different dishes and were delighted. The wine is offered both bottled or open and comes from the owner's family's own vineyards. The most expensive bottle costs a mere 13 Euro. Service is very friendly and efficient, the dishes come in a staggered manner, that allows you to taste them in peace. Three times a week, live music is on stage. Reservations are recommended, because you hardly find such a combination of very tasty food, nice atmosphere and low prices!

“Great food and wine !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2012

The place is as charming as its owner ! The dishes are displayed behind a window in the kitchen so we could choose what we wanted plus the menu offered half sized portions so we were able to pick and mix everything. No tacky tourist attitude very nice surprise .

“Super quiet haven right in the heart of Athens!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2012

A greek friend recommended I visit this recently opened 'taverna' when visiting this summer.
I hesitated at first, it's located in a lively neighbourhood, I'm usually wary of tourist traps but this was anything but!
Underground is the wine cellar stocked with bottles from the family operating vineyard that you can enjoy by the bottle or glass in the restaurand inside or in the backyard, like we did...

The chilled white wine was excellent value, seriously, it was around 9€ a bottle and this was one of the priciest! We also had the house wine which was less than 3€ per 1/2L...
As for food, they have a set menu and daily suggestions, you get to look at everything in the counter before you make your choice...

We felt no pressure from the staff to leave even after staying there for hours.
They even let us eat a pastry from the bakery across the street on their premises,

It was so nice, we went back 3 times during our 1 week stay!
