I found this hotel to be below the standard expected of this group. The floor coverings and curtains were a little "tired" and I had the same problem with the room key not working as an earlier reviewer. It appeared to be random as to whether the swipe card opened the door, one night we spent at least 5 minutes alternately swiping the two cards we had been issued. Just when we were about to give up one of them worked. Very frustrating.

On our day of departure we had misplaced our passports. I asked for a maid to be sent to help us search the room as I was certain they were there somewhere. All I got was the security man showing a list of times that the room had been accessed. I eventually found them with the help of a friend but I think my request for a maid to help with the search was not unreasonable, would have found them earlier and saved a lot of worry.

We had only 2 nights at the hotel, but enjoyed it. On check-in, however, we were given a room that is a 'smoking' room. Since I am highly allergic to smoke, I went down stairs to procure another room. Also, I was traveling with a woman friend, and we don't sleep together. The beds were pushed together... not!
After a few minutes of juggling things, the people at the front desk gave us a room on the 7th floor (executive floor) which was a non-smoking room. Someone came in and pushed the beds apart and put a night stand between them which was helpful. The room did look out to the rooftops of the area, but it was clean and comfortable.

The staff and service is excellent . I agree it is not up to The Leading Hotels criteria normally found but it is a very comfortable place to stay. Rooms are very comfy and especially clean. lobby and dining room are nice. food is about a 31/2 but good. Good location ..about 5-10 euro's to go just about anywhere by cab.
