“Excellent location, comfy beds, lovely pool!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

We stayed here for 2 nights in August with my 2 teenage kids who had an adjoining room. The rooms were clean, modern with big comfy beds and a nice bathroom each, and quiet aircon. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The pool area is small, but we managed to get sun chairs in the sun, there is shade too, with a waiter to bring you cold drinks!
We did not eat at the hotel, as we chose to walk into the centre and get a taste of the atmosphere, but we did enjoy late drinks in the bar with the stunning view. Would definitely return to this hotel if we go back to Athens. If you are there on a Sunday, walk to the Flea Market, it is huge, with so much going on.

I have stayed here during 3 separate trips to Greece. The rooms are adequately sized, not huge. I would say that they could use some renovation (decor), but no real complaints. I cannot say enough about the staff, excellent! The breakfast is delightful...something for everyone. The hotel is conveniently located to the Plaka, Parthenon, etc. Having dinner on the rooftop while viewing the Acropolis is a must. Great food/wine.

Room Tip: Get a room on the Parthenon side!

We got two rooms for our family of six. The rooms were clean and spacious. The view from the roof Garden is spectacular make sure to dine there. On our first day we missed breakfast due to jet lag and they send it to our room with no charge, very friendly people. The pool is small but very nice. The location is phenomenal close to Plaka where you can dine, close to Monastiraki where you can get souvenirs, and a few steps from the Parthenon it was amazing, our children ages 14,10, 8 loved everything about this Hotel. We'll be staying here again next summer.

Was there for three days in June - lovely room, lovely staff (very helpful with the wifi thing) and great location. Could see the Acropolis from my balcony. Wonderful rooftop restaurant with night-time view of the Acropolis. Very recommended!

Room Tip: Free wifi is only in the lobby area.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

During our family vacation in Crete, Santorini and Athens this hotel was by far the most uncomfortable and inconvenient for our family. For starters they could accommodate a family of 4 in one suite/2rooms! We slept in separate rooms with constant to and fro rooms, up and down hallway. The beds and pillows were horrible... they were rock hard. We requested a non smoking rooms, we were given a room the reeked of smoke on the 5th floor. Thankfully the moved us to the 4th floor to non smoking rooms. We requested a room with a view, of the Acropolis, but that was impossible from both the 4th and 5th floors.
The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Lucas, he was very pleasant and kind.
The hotel offer tours around the city, one of the tours sites we wanted to visit was Poseidon temple which cost approx 43 euros per person, (total 172e for 4 people) instead, we rented a car for 50e and drove to the temple. It was an awesome trip, an easy drive with lots of beaches (don't forget the swimsuits) and restaurants along the way.

Room Tip: No good views from 5th floor down!!

I asked for a high floor with a view of the Acropolis and this is what I got. Room 706 on the 7th floor with a good side view of the acropolis. They put the bed as an extension on the double bed. So, it was small for 3 persons. The TV is analog and small on wheels. The door to the balcony has a strange way of opening. The staff is very good and helpful. The breakfast is very big, and has everything (other than making you an omelet). They charge for WiFi 3 euro per hour if you what it in your room. I think that in public places its free. The area is very safe, just around the acropolis museum. All in all, for the amount of money you pay, you get good value. I will recommend to others.

Room Tip: High floor facing the street and acropolis

Dear Guest

Many thanks for taking the time to post your comments about your stay at Divani Palace Acropolis

We are happy that you were satisfied with your stay, the facilities, and the service offered by our staff.

About the room being too small for 3 persons we do suggest that next time you could ask for a family room in order to be more comfortable

We hope to see you again at Divani Palace Acropolis
