Well kept hotel, lovely views from the rooftop pool, the buffet breakfast was exceptional. The only negative I could find was that the bed was too hard it almost felt like sleeping on the floor. I also found some members of the hotel staff to be less than accommodating. Bottom line I would recommend this establishment, great location for walking around the city.

Four night stay right at the end of May. Can't fault the location - close to Syntagma, Acropolis easily walkable, or you can you get a great view from the rooftop terrace and pool. Our superior room was slightly smaller than expected and bathroom needed maintenance, but well equipped. Service mostly good, especially at breakfast and reception, but barstaff not very obliging. I thought the breakfast was a bit limited for the class of hotel - fruit was tinned - although the freshly squeezed orange juice was welcome after a night on the ouzo....Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend if looking for good central hotel.

Our stay at the Electra was event free....and in my opinion thats a great place to stay!

The location was great and the little Taverna on the corner is A+, worth a try for traditional Greek food. Yummo!

The breakie was great and restocked quickly if anything was running low.

The only problem was that I found an olive under a chair when we were leaving, which wasn't ours so the room cleaning may be a problem, but other than that it looked really clean.

  • Liked — The taverna around the corner
  • Disliked — the olive found on the floor

My mother and I stayed at The Electra Palace for three nites the first week in May and were very pleased.
We booked a room on the 5th floor with beautiful views of the Acropolis from our balcony. The hotel is top class, luxurious and clean. It is in a perfect location to walk to all the sites, shopping and the Plaka. We felt safe walking around day or nite.

The staff was wonderful, Panos the concierge couldn't have been more accomodating to us and we enjoyed talking to him each time we came back to the hotel. He is very professional and informative. Menelaos the bartender was also great. Sample some of his creative drinks at the lobby bar, he is an award winning mixologist having competed in world wide competitions!

We also had time to be pampered in the spa enjoying swedish massages. Be sure to indulge if you have time.

We did not have breakfast while at the hotel, prefering to have coffee delivered to our room. Nothing like waking up to coffee on our balcony viewing the Acropolis!

Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommened it to anyone ging to Athens.
