“One of the best places in the Old City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

What a wonderful location with a lot of flair. Rooms a nice and warm atmosphere. The service is great.

The location is fantastic . The Hop On / Hop off bust starts 5 min walking around the corner.

Our room had a direct view to Acropolis. Wonderful view from the balcony with a glass of Greek Wine.

Unfortunately the breakfast buffet was not the (high) quality as we expect that from such hotel.

If the hotel can improve that part it would be just perfect.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with view to the Acropolis !

It was a very nice stay , we spend one week their. Staff is really nice and friendly. They help us to much in finding out the best restaurants with a good quality of food. The hotel location is best for Plaka are you can easily reach their by few minuets walking. Amazing view from the roof. Breakfast is very good specially making the waffle by your self. Really we enjoy the trip because of good chose of Electra. We will go again

We stayed 2 nights (September 10 and 11, 2013) at this very comfortable hotel. The location in the Plaka was very convenient and only 10 minutes to the Syntagma Square where are the Parliament buildings. The lobby was huge and luxuriously decorated. We had the requested room, a Superior Room (#517) on the fifth floor with a balcony and a magnificent view on the Acropolis. The room was a good-sized, modern and very clean. The bathroom was rather small but efficient. The restaurant on the top was excellent and the view on the Acropolis was romantic. The breakfast was served in the restaurant downstairs with an adjoining courtyard and offered a good selection : scrambled eggs, beans, fresh orange juice, coffee, cheese, yogurts, cereals. More fresh fruits would have been appreciated. All the personnel was very task-oriented and efficient but not very smiling and friendly. We recommend this elegant hotel for its central location to visit Athens.

I've been to this hotel on various occasion. It's ideally located, very nice lobby, lovely staff, very good breakfast, nice rooms, pleasant staff ... Only point of attention is the choice of TV channels which is limited. Good place to be indeed!

This fair sized hotel is located in Plaka, within walking ( 300m ) distance to Sytagma which is the centre of Athens. The immediate surrounding area is pretty draggy and hotel is located on tiny side street ( wide enough for one car one way only )
We stayed there 2 nights only and only discovered the pedestrian artsy streets on our last day. Too bad the hotel did not provide us with the local map of Plaka highlighting small streets towards the Temple of Zeus with plenty of restaurants and local arts shops. This area is very charming compared to Monastiriki bazaar or Ermou Street.
We had a dinner at Electra rooftop restaurant and it was one of our highlights of Athens visit. Service was perfect and we really enjoyed our moussaka . Make sure that you are seated before the sunset ( 7:30 in September ) so you can enjoy the change and Acropolis lighted at night. The angle from the hotel covers all cranes on Acropolis seen from other angles.
Room ( 6th floor ) was good size but our French balcony opened inside the court across from residential apartments. Beds were slightly on soft side but bathroom was great.
We really liked our breakfast, especially in open court area ( if you don't mind smokers )
We recommed this 5-star hotel to people who don't want to see riots and demonstrations on Sytagma square ( as seen from pricer 5-star hotels around the Square )

We stayed at the Electra Palace on the way to our cruise. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful dinner at the rooftop restaurant with a beautiful view of the Acropolis. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I recently stayed at Electra Palace in Athens. It was a lovely hotel in a great location. The rooms were very nice but on the small side. Breakfast was included in our stay, it was an excellent buffet with a lot of choices and very nice staff. We ate dinner one night at the rooftop restaurant. The view of the acropolis was awesome and the food was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel, it is walking distance to the acropolis. The only drawback is since it is in the city it is very noisy at night.

Room Tip: ask for a room not facing the main Street
