“Wonderful hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012 via mobile

From outside you can't tell that ther is a 5 star's hotel in this small street.
Inside it's a luxury large hotel, classic one with a realy great stuff, located in a walk distance from everything you need.you see the Acropolis very close with glorious view especially at night wehen it is illuminated.very recommend hotel if you look for a quiet very good hotel in the middle of the Palka.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel from every point of view. The location is perfect, in a lovely area within walking distance of all the main tourist sites and with many tavernas and restaurants very nearby. From our first warm welcome we found all the staff charming and helpful. we were very grateful to be upgraded after mentioning a problem with the heating in our room. The room and the hotel as a whole were tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The rooftop restaurant was spectacular. The view of the Acropolis was amazing and it was an unparalleled gourmet experience. The indoor swimming pool and spa were a welcome bonus after a winter's day's sightseeing.
A tea/coffee corner in the room would be welcome.

Room Tip: The basic rooms/bathrooms are rather small.

We have enjoyed staying in this hotel. Everything 5star, room, buffet breakfast, the reception and lobby, staff, rooftop view, accessibility but only downfall was the indoor swimming pool has cold water. Lovely pool but the water temperature quite disappointing. but if you're not going swimming, I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Even standard room was great.

The hotel is fun to find, but when you do it has good breakfast, elegant decor and a view from your little balcony that you can't wait to tell people about. As expected the rooms aren't huge, but they are very well done... And what are you doing in your room all day anyway? :) head out a couple blocks away to streets filled with stores and restaurants.
On a side note, most stores close at 9pm, and I mean close. So metal gates down and lights off. So be cautious of where you are, otherwise it starts to feel like that scene in 'Ghost' when shadowy people randomly start coming out from everywhere. :) stay near the restaurants and run to the light!

stay here and enjoy your vacation to the fullest; we had a large corner suite with a balcony facing directly on the acropolis with a panoramic city view. hotel is 5 star in every way yet comfortable and understated. magnificent lobby, no stuffy old world look.we were here at the
end of oct. for 4 nights and had the included full breakfast in the garden or inside as well as
a great dinner in the rooftop restaurant again with a stunning view. concierge service as far as arranging tours , recommending restaurants and all else was very helpful. also, hotel location is tops, near the plaka and walk to syntagma square etc.
,

Room Tip: go for the acropolis view

This was our first stay in Athens. The Electra Palace was very nice and well located in the Plaka. Our room had a balcony and view of the Acropolis. It was really cool at night when lite up. Our room was quiet and clean. The staff and breakfast were outstanding. It's too bad Athens is a bit run down, but we still had a good time. Easy to walk to all the major sites.

Perfect location, spacious room with a very nice small balcony, perfect service
and a very nice breakfast. We stayed in the new part and the only drawback was
that the wall to the next room was pretty thin so when the neighbours talked loudly
we were disturbed. Other than that we are very happy.

Room Tip: Our friends stayed in the old part which seems to be better insulated.
