“Good location, clean and enjoyable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

A very good hotel. Located close to the new acropolis museum, on a quiet street. Convenient for all major sights of interest - within walking distance. Room (and bathroom) was good, well maintained and laid out. Safe, plus good wifi (at a small supplement).Kept very clean and tidy. Morning breakfast was a pleasure.Reception staff helpful. Plenty of taverna's within easy walking with reasonable food. A most enjoyable weeks stay. Travel in from aiport on the metro.

This is a very friendly and quiet hotel, beautifully situated. Breakfast is excellent.
There is the added advantage of being able to use the sister hotel 2mins away for meals and splendid rooftop bar. I would certainly use Philippos Hotel again.

We stayed in the Philippos hotel one night. It has very convenient location: just few minutes walk from the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. The offered breakfast was very good with many choices. While the Greece hotels seem to offer very firm beds in the rooms, the Philippos has comfortable beds.

Very happy with the hotel, food and services. We look for a hotel that is clean, comfortable, with a good breakfast. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Only negative is the antiquated wifi service. They charge for every device that wants wifi access. This gets expensive when everyone in the family has a smartphone and/or iPad.

Wonderful staff, ideal location 2 blocks from the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Room clean, price is right. Best location for your dollar in Athens. We did not have a "family room", so it was fairly small, as was the bathroom.

Room Tip: Staff member picked us up at airport for a reasonable fee.

This is a lovely, friendly hotel situated within easy walking distance of the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and the popular Plaka neighbourhood. The staff are very professional and friendly, free tea and coffee were available 24 hours a day and my room was delightful. It also provided excellent value for money and a lovely breakfast. Highly recommended,

We enjoyed to be here, with a view on the Akropolis from our family room on the 6th floor. Staff was very kind and helpful.
The inside door was very noisy, what was embarrassing for our children at night. Very small bathroom also.
But everything was very clean.

Room Tip: If you travel with your family, ask the room on the 6th floor, with view on the Akropolis.
