“Not that bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

We stayed my friend and I in the Titania hotel in January. The location of the hotel is great a minutes away from the shopping market and the hop on hop off stop. The hotel is ok for a short stay. Not more. Rooms are small and there is a strange smell around. The stuff is not that helpful so don't count on this do ur homework before u go. But to be fair some of them are very nice. So if ur planing a transit stay it's ok. Wifi only work in the lobby. Visit the shops near the hotel ppl there are very helpful and nice.

The hotel had many good points- The rooms are clean and actually larger than most European hotels. The breakfast is excellent, unless there is a departing school trip with 100 teens getting breakfast at the same time ......only happened once but it was crowded. The rooftop bar and restaurant is beautiful with great food and an amazing view. Only negatives is the lack of wi-fi and front desk service, which is very limited, slow and basically not that friendly. The maid service was excellent, the men at the front desk......... not that helpful.

Room Tip: the street level rooms have little balconies, but the view is of the street- we went for a cheaper r...

The hotel is in a good location but is full of groups who are noisy and you have to queue for meals. The wi fi was expensive and although free in the lobby , not many places to sit to check your emails. The staff never seemed to know what was happening and on our last day we had no idea which restaurant our meal was been served. Eventually after an hour we managed to get a table but were asked to move half way through our meal for some noisy american girls.

Titania was a nice surprise. The hotel is refurbished and looks ok. The service was more friendly than exppected in these troubled times for Greece.A bit crowded for breakfast, but the food was fine. Close to Plaka and Acropolis it offers the opportunity of a nice walk. Don't be afraid of the "bunker like" metal doors and window covers. They look bizarre but finally just make you feel safe:-)

Still can't understand why they are claiming to be 4* hotel. Wouldn't give more than 2*. Old fashioned smelly room, tiny bathroom, scratched walls, very expensive wifi access and tasteless breakfast. The only good thing is location. Won't be staying again.

This was far from a luxury experience but I didn't exactly pay luxury prices. The good: comfy bed, OK breakfast, nice reception, room service. The bad: expensive in-room wifi; clumsy bathroom layout and lots of corridor noise/noise from adjacent rooms. The ugly: the loud elevator music in all public areas was really intrusive and drove me crazy!

Not four star by any stretch of the imagination but fine for the price I paid.

The travel agency booked this as a pre cruise 2 night stop over.On the positive side there is a very nice roof top restaurant with a view of the Acropolis.Breakfast was included and was good with lots of choices.I caught the "Hop on" bus and the University 2 blocks away. When I first checked in I was put in a dark room that had a sewer smell in the bathroom. The Manager quickly changed me to a renovated room that was much improved.Nice staff and perfectly clean. It is a work in progress to update.Free wifi in lobby.
Good value but don't expect more than basic place to stay.
