The hotel seemed wonderful when I entered the lobby. However when I saw my room I was disgusted. I had a non-smoking room booked and it reeked of cigarettes. It was not a very nice hotel for so much money. I was told my room would be ready on arrival and had to wait 2 hours in the loby. The staff was exceptionally rude and unhelpful. The baggage porter refused to assist me as I struggled with four bags. The hotel lost my laundry. The finally did return it a day late as I was checking out and proceeded to charge me full price and told me if I did not pay they were keeping my clothing. I can't believe this was a highly rated hotel. The food was incredibly expensive. They charges 30 Euros for a chicken breast and French fries. I have stayed in third world countries with nicer hotels and a friendlier staff.

The public areas are well done, but the smell of cigarette smoke knocks you down when you walk in the front door. Our room was small and old and cleaner than other reviewers have mentioned. The location is close to the places we wanted to walk to. Our hotel dining experiences were good. The wait staff was more pleasant than the front desk staff, who seemed pre-occupied when approached. It was about what we expected.

We stayed at the Titani in October for 3 days and two nights. Thank goodness is wasn't for any longer. Entering the lobby in the hotel you feel like "Wow, this looks like a nice place" until you enter your room, what a huge let down. My first impression was to leave, but that wasn't an option. I wore socks on my feet the whole time in the room and the bathroom was so tiny as was the tub. The beds were two single beds pushed together. Honestly, my bathroom at home is larger than the hotel room and bathroom put together. I would not stay here again. The only plus is the hotel is located within walking distance of so many things to see and do. I would not return here unless they did some major renovations.

I suppose a 3 Star hotel in Greece means 1 or 2 stars in the U.S. because I was a little apprehensive about this hotel having read previous reviews, but nothing prepared me for dirty curtains and drapes, dirty carpeting and VISIBLE stains on the bedspreads. Ewww. I guess they read our review of the room that was left for us to complete before leaving and as Trafalgar had booked us to be there on our last night we noticed that they didn't leave us any bedspreads or blankets in our room but the drapes were a little cleaner than the previous room. Titania offered a decent breakfast for the tourists and the service was ok. But I would have paid a little more to have a little better room even though the location was fantastic and that is why I didn't give only one star. To bring home what was thought about the hotel, our guide was speaking to someone who asked about hotels in Athens (when we were in Mykonos) and she named several but the Titania Hotel was not one of them. I guess that hotel went down like the Titantic to her too!

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nites, the first 2 at the beginning of my trip and my last nite of my trip. This hotel is in a good location and within a decent walking distance to the Plaka and historical sites. The improvements that were made to the hotel was mostly cosmetic and in the public areas, i.e. the lobby and meeting areas. The room itself was very basic and needed a lot of updating. I felt for the money I spent the room was not worth it. Also the first 2 nites that I was there, some kind of convention was going on and the gathering was extremely noisy. My room was near one of the meeting places and I was unable to fall asleep until the party was over. What I found out was the noise was soo bad that most of the people on the floor who weren’t attending the party also had the same complaint. The staff was very pleasant and nice. Very professional and helpful when approached. The view from the hotel restaurant is definitely worth seeing. The restaurant itself is pretty pricey but nice. I only stayed to have a drink and take a few pictures of the view. On my last nite, the room I got again was extremely basic, pretty similar to the first one, but at least it was a lot quieter. I wasn’t too impressed with this hotel based on that the room was very depressing. I didn’t hate this place but didn’t love it either.
