We were greeted after our long, sleepless transatlantic flight with glasses of ice water and turkish delight at the check-in. Then we were taken to our room, squeezing into 1 of the 2 smallish elevators. The room was beautiful and modern with an incredible view of the Temple of Zeus, through our huge windows and glass balcony.
My son and I had a room on a non-smoking floor. Everything was very nice. My son loved the walk-in shower with no door. There is a window between the bedroom and bathroom, but it has wooden blinds in it that allow for privacy.
The bed looked like a king, but was really 2 twins that could be pushed apart.
The breakfast in the morning was fabulous. This was the only place in our entire Greece trip where they brought a POT of coffee to the table, instead of a single cup. The buffet had all the items you would expect at a European continental breakfast. Pastries and various breads, fruits, olives, cheeses, hams, cereal, eggs, olives, yogurt. They also had 4 chafing dishes with hot foods like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, etc. The view from there was great.
We also had a very nice dinner in the restaurant our first night when we were too tired to go far.
The hotel is just a couple blocks from the Plaka and was so convenient to it and the Acropolis. We went there many times during our 2 days there.
