We stayed here in May 2008 for 68 EUR/night for 2 people. We got a double bed, which was actually two twins pushed together. We booked the "Quiet Location" room, which had a balcony facing a concrete wall. But it was indeed quiet. The hotel itself was basic and clean. The shower stall was very small with a shower curtain that didn't really contain the water. The bathroom floor always got wet. The elevator is tiny. It was large enough to fit 2 people with 2 suitcases and that was about it! Four people in there was a squeeze. The room was relatively small, but I guess this is standard in European countries.
Our stay included a buffet breakfast, which consisted of some basic cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, tea, coffee, yogurt, and a few other things. It was actually quite substantial and good! There is free wi-fi access in the rooms, as well as a complimentary public computer for internet usage right next to the reception desk.
The hotel was in the Omonia area of Athens, which was about a 15 min or so walk to the Acropolis. We didn't even have to take the subway (we only stayed in Athens for a couple of nights). The area itself wasn't bad and we never felt threatened. It wasn't a glitzy area, but it felt like you were in Greece.
Overall, we felt this was a good price for what we got - location, internet access, service, and breakfast. I would certainly recommend this hotel for budget-minded travelers!
I have some photos of the hotel room and of Athens at:
