“Breathtaking! - Don't miss it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

There is nothing better than real life experience of masterpiece of arts.
Marble and steel statues that makes you feel that they are ready to move.
So alive and so much attention to detail that surprises you.
You don't expect that when you have seen so many photos of them in books.
Building itself is quite simple but what is in there..... definetely worth.
I have visited this museum already twice in different occasions and still want to go again if visit Athens.

“Not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

If you have time (it will take at least 4 hours) visit this museum. It is well worth it and it is not expensive (7 € I believe). Do not miss spectacular artifacts from the tombs at various sites, amazing graveyard stellae and overview of the art developing. Wonderfull souvenirs, at a good price are available from the museum shop.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

Well worth half a day or more; current special exhibit on the shipwreck and the treasures it contained is an added bonus. For anyone with even a passing interest in sculpture, following the progression of classical Greek sculpture is particularly absorbing.
