Absolutely worth a visit. Lots of museums in Athens but this is one of the best. Note there are half price tickets on Mondays

We really enjoyed this museum, interesting building, nicely done exhibits. It was away from heavy tourist traffic so not realty crowded.

“Stunning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Tremendous collection of unusual art in this museum over a number of floors. If you like your bargains, go on a Monday...cheap entry. Some great sculptures both large and small. Takes about 90 minutes to go round. Excellent signage and excellent descriptions of all the artwork/sculptures. Good gift shop with reasonable pricing.

“Lovely museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Small, lovely museum with an amazing collection of Cycladic art. Nice description of the artworks as well. As others have said, good gift shop also.

If you're on a tight budget, go on a Monday for half priced entrance fee, but the Museum is well worth the entrance fee any day.

“Absolute gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013 via mobile

Don't miss this one - a gem of a museum with amazing sculptures and great interactive games for children - with english translations. The plank and violin shaped figures are amazing. Great little gift shop at reasonable prices and a great little cafe.
