We wanted a slightly nicer hotel for our last night in Greece, with just a little more space and a little bigger bathroom than some of the 80-100 Euro places we'd stayed in. We found the Plaka Hotel, and it was great. We paid 129 euro on booking.com, booked it online on Friday morning for a Friday night stay (don't try this in high season!) Our room had really no view - blocked by a building, but otherwise was great. Top floor, one flight up to the rooftop garden with the amazing acropolis view. Very clean room, definitely a bit bigger, a shower we could turn around in. Beds were comfortable, sheets were nice, TV and AC worked, & there's a safe and hairdryer in the room.
Hotel is very very central, and the rooftop garden is a really nice place to hang out in the evening. Staff were great - on-time wakeup call, and they let us come for early breakfast since we had to leave for the airport before they usually started serving. Breakfast was the best we'd had - breads, eggs, cheese, cereals, pastries, yogurt, spoon sweets, honey, juices, coffee/tea, and lots of everything.
