“Be ready to empty your wallet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2011

Although the food and the service were very good, we felt we were in a fish tank ourselves. The place was empty and we felt so intimidated. Perhaps if you are on an expense account, this will be good place to take a client you want to impress, but for tourists wanting to sample a different Greek fare (not your usual mousaka joint), this is not the place either. Was disappointed, was expecting something different.

“Quality fish and seafood at a price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2010

Very good fish and seafood, a wide range of dishes including some more unusual options. High quality ingredients. Large, modern space. The atmosphere seemed quite formal when we visited, but it may feel more relaxed when the restaurant is busier. Food is high standard and you pay for it. Service is excellent, informed and discreet. Very few tourists - probably due to the location - it's not very central.

“Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere. Unique service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2010

The restaurant offers a unique experience by itself! It offers fantastic fresh fish along with many original dishes cooked by its famous italian chef. The black ravioli are highly recommended and not to miss.
Although the environment is really luxury, the service remains human, polite and makes your staying pleasant and comfortable.
Not recommended for budget dinner or lunch.

“Outstanding Fine Dining Experience In Athens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2010

Our local friends took us to Ai Nikolas for our final meal in Athens. It was absolutely fantastic! It was late Monday night, so we were one of the few tables that evening. We received excellent service, with attention to each and every aspect of our meal and experience. The ingredients used were the freshest, cleanest, and more flavorfully intense than another high-end restaurant in Athens. The decor is beautiful, white, leather bench seating, velvet blue chairs, unique lighting fixtures, bright and fresh modern look.

Now to the food. . .. the manager walked us to the front of the ktichen, where we were able to hand select from the daily catch. Our fish preparation was the best I'd had during my entire two week stay in Greece. We ordered the sea urchin (my first time, it was yummy), the fresh grilled octopus (which you must order if you are visiting Greece--its a local specialty), temptation salad (best salad I have EVER had in my life), Salmon salad (delish!), Black Ravioli (I highly recommend this--it was my favorite dish overall), and the fresh fish that we selected. For dessert, we ordered a seasonal fruit dish and a chocolate-banana dessert (I can't remember the names). Both were beautiful and tasted wonderful.

I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want a fine-dining experience in Greece. It is nowhere near the touristy area, which makes it a bit of a journey, but well worth it. It compares to a high-end restaurant in NYC or LA. The chef is truly amazing and customer service outstanding. I will return for sure!
