“Authentic and delicious food at a good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

We happened upon this little gem by accident as it was close to our hotel. The location is not great on a busy intersection, but do yourself a favour and overlook this. The food is tasty and authentic Greek home cooking. The essence of Greek cuisine. The meals are good size and the range is varied. We had 2 mains, salad, beer and water all for under 30 euro. After this there was no room for desert.

The service is fast and the waiter is friendly and efficient.

“Best meal of our trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012 via mobile

Great traditional Greek food, must try the loukaniko port sausages. Definitely a winner if your want home style authentic cooking. Try the wine bar Oinoscent over the road for an after dinner drink

“The Best Food in Athens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

This place is just around the corner from the Electra Palace. It is a small family run business, but the food is excellent quality and service is quick. Also food portions are big and the price is cheap. Do yourself a favor and find this gem. Greece is all about the food and this is a great example.

“Best in Athens!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

I happened across this restaurant (based on a recommendation by my guide on the Athens Backpackers day tour of Athens) last year. I have dreamed of their baked chickpeas ever since. Upon returning this year, I was not disappointed, still incredible!
This year, traveling with students, I took all 8 here on our first night in town. When asked where they would like to eat on their final night it unanimously this restaurant. The owner, John, is very personable and made our dinner a delight. YOU MUST GO HERE!

“Great off-track restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

Just a short walk from the Plaka, this restaurant is a tiny hole in the wall for people who like to eat like the locals.

It doesn't have the lovely people-watching location nor free wifi though. But the service is welcoming and they try to anticipate your needs or questions.

The food is very good too. My husband doesn't like moussaka but when he tried the moussaka here, he loved it! It's now his favorite Greek dish! But how will the others ever be good enough for him? I loved the hummus! Very creamy with loads of garlic.

Overall delicious food at reasonable prices!
