“A fantastic virtual tour of ancient Miletus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

Hellenic Cosmos is an ultra modern cultural centre and museum open to people of all ages and interests like virtual reality tours and interactive exhibitions, using state of the art technology.
We had a virtual reality tour for 45 minutes at the city of Miletus, as it was 2000 years ago. This 3D production is much better than the "Athena in the ancient agora" (i watched this one, 2 years ago), it seems that they use new technology...
You can take bus no 049 from Piraeus street, where the metro station "Keramikos" is and stop at school of fine arts (Sholi kalon tehnon in greek), it's only 15 minutes with the bus.
This is a must see in Athens.

“Wish it was in Athens center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2011

We loved this museum. It was definitely hard to find, and the hours it was open/had shows were iffy, but the staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were lost for a while coming off the metro- it is on the main street, across from the car dealerships, look for a dome and an area that looks like performing arts- no one we asked nearby knew it.
Since only other people there were school groups, we were given private English tour and they opened up the math exhibit just for us. The math exhibit was too old for our kids (3 & 4) but they still enjoyed playing at the exhibits and so did we. People who are used to the normal, read and look, may not like it, but we loved the interactive.
The 3D/virtual tours of the Agora and Olympia really helped to put together the experience of touring Greece. It really helped us to see it recreated.

“Kids only”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2011

This was a sort of letdown. This is not a museum that will be more interesting to kids - it will ONLY interest children and that is if they are not too picky. Staff is usually great and helpful, but nothing really help you immerse in the hellenic past. Interactive displays are basic at best and the 3D tour is really disappointing, specially when you consider it is not cheap either. Unless your kids are very interested in Greece's past, don't bother.
