“A great find for the price in central athens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

Just a couple of short blocks away from the late night hustle and bustle of Plaka, and you will pay a good bit less money for similar accomodations. All staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Modern and convenient, I would be happy to stay here again.

We stayed a couple of nights in this hotel in Athens before a tour to Delphi and Meteora. The hotel is coveniently located near Athens center, in a square near the market. The room was clean and confortable, bathroom was small, but like most of the hotels we stayed in greece. The only problem with the room was that there is light outside the building (as you can see in the picture) and my husband and I feel more confortable with complete darkness. The breakfast was nice eventhought there is not a huge selection of products, but it was much better than in another hotel we stayed in Athens. I would recommend this hotel and I will come back to it. Views from the upper terrace of the Acropolis were nice too.

The location of the hotel is about 7 blocks or so from the metro stop so away from the noise of Monastiraki. The bonus is that the area is fun in the mornings with the veggie stands on central market right in front of the door. The meat and fish markets are just one block away. The breakfast in the morning is a nice mix of normal fare but also Greek foods. The roof garden is a great place to take in the acropolis at night .

When we first started walking towards the hotel, I started saying "God Hugo (my hubby), is this the hotel u found? There was nothing else available?" Yes, the location is kinda scary, especially at night, but it's also in front of a fruit market, so you can buy fresh fruit every day!!! The receptionists were quite nice, and friendly. They serve free coffee, tea and biscuits all day. Very cute, and clean rooms, VERY comfortable bed!!! There is wi-fi, but the connection sucks... There is a terrace on the top, not the best one but still good... Breakfast is very good for omnivores, but as a vegan I had bread and tomato for three days (no complaints, but soy milk would be perfect, because they serve muesli). And it's very close to the downtown, almost 10 minutes walking.

Room Tip: 4th-5th-6th floor. Try the one away from the elevator, like 604-605

The hotel is across from the central market. We arrived in the evening, after the market was closed and the area was pretty dirty with leftovers from the vendors strewn and squashed on the road. The inside of the hotel was lovely, art deco. Each floor was a different colour, hallways and rooms. Very modern. The breakfast was ample, with plenty of choices. Walking to a neaby restaurant we had chosen for dinner , the streets were fairly deserted, and you felt wary in the surroundings. During the day, the streets were busy and you are close a main street taking you to the Monastiraki. It is also about 15 minutes to the Acropolis. The rooftop patio is very basic...a couple of tables and a small stall for a bar.

A quick stay in Athens but what a little find! Greeted by delightfully polite staff, this hotel was just such a refreshing find - spotlessly clean, modernised rooms and bathrooms, excellent breakfast and quiet!!! Close to a little square where you can get excellent Greek food and a 5 minute walk to Monastaraki Square - this place is a gem. A genuine find and a bargain.

Room Tip: Any will do, so quiet!

Great little hotel in the market area, across the street from fruit and vegetable vendors and around the corner from antique shops and discounted goods shops, At night when the metal security gates are up in the nearby stores, the graffiti is plainly visible and darn good. The location is close to Monastiraki which is full of life both day and well into the evening. There are streets there blocked to traffic here with plenty of little shops and restaurants. Many excellent tavernas on these side streets facing the ruins. The hotel is upgraded, modern and comfortable. Monastiraki is a metro station with trains going to the Acropolis, the New Acropolis Museum, and the airport. The hotel has an excellent breakfast and the staff is friendly and obliging. There is good art work throughout the hotel and a roof top patio that has a great view of the city and the acropolis. Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel

Room Tip: some rooms have an acropolis view
