“Pretty, but difficult to see it all up close”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

I'm looking at this from the perspective of a photographer, but although this temple is very cool (the four star rating), it is hard to get it all in a good photo from up close. Only from atop the Akropolis or from across the park can you really see it well.

Still, the temple itself is neat to see and the symmetry of the columns is particularly impressive considering how old it is. Go for a walk and see it, too!

“The most complete temple in Athens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

First, Tripadvisor is wrong about this at the time of writing this review. It has two listings - one as Hephaistion and other as Temple of Hephaestus. They are one and the same. Second, this is located at the Ancient Agora (also called the Greek Agora) at the bottom of the Acropolis Hill, not on Acropolis itself. Third, though it is clearly visible from the top of the Acropolis (in fact it is the best looking thing from there), do not leave it at that, please go and visit this, it is well worth it.

“Untouched by the time that has passed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

It is a temple that stood unharmed by the thousands of years that had passed. For a moment it felt like a Hollywood movie and yet it was the REAL thing !
