We had two apartments for two families. These are of an exceptionally high standard for the price and the location is excellent. You are at the Acropolis and its museum in ten minutes or less on foot. Tony and his son are both very friendly and helpful with excellent English. I would definitely stay there again.

I can't really complain about the location and Tony himself. Not too far away from Acropolis, this hotel is the best choice for your visit, which is not too expensive compared with the other hotels in that region. Tony is a great guy, no wonder so many people praise the service there, basically you can ask him any question you have. At the time we went there, the hotel was in renovation or something like that, so Tony sent us to a place only several steps from the hotel, good place though.

Two things you need to watch out for. Tony was great, not so for his son. I called his son for adapter of my US phone, he said they dont have any left. But my gf was afraid he misunderstood me, so she called him again, then his son was nearly shouting at her, yes, my description was precise, shouting. The second thing you need to be careful is the travel agent Tony recommended. We were planning to go to Santorini at that time, but can only find the slow ferry, so Tony recommended Dophin Hellas, which was 20 min walking from the hotel, to me and said I can get certain discount. That agent sucks! He charged us ~40 euros as the booking fee for both the ferry to Santorini and the flight back to Athens, which is too high but still acceptable. Our flight back, however, got cancelled due to wheather conditions, so we had to go back to that agency for refunding. And this agent said the booking fee ( non-refundable) for that flight was 25 euros at the beginning, then changed to 40, and finally 100! Well, we were not idiots so argued about that for a while, he finally lowered the booking fee to ~50, we accepted it because we were on hurry to catch the flight back to US. In conclusion, his son was rude ( maybe sometimes), and DONT EVER trust DOLPHIN HELLAS!

We also stayed here for 3 nights outbound and 2 nights on the way back, either side of a Greek Island hopping vacation. We also arrived late to find Tony pacing in front of the hotel wondering what had happened to us (we got lost!). Tony put us into his deluxe hotel suite which was a big room with kitchen and a large bathroom ("the best bathroom in Athens" according to Tony) and immediately found us a lovely restaurant to have dinner. The hotel is located about 10 minutes away from the Acropolis (walking) and 15 minutes from the Plaka, which we felt was a great spot to be. The price was good and Tony and Vassilis (his son) were very kind and attentive to our needs, booking restaurants and taxis for us and making sure we were going to the right places. Tony is larger than life and made this stay in Athens a great experience.

We stayed here for 2 nights either side of a Greek islands excursion. We arrived late the first night and we rang a buzzer upon arrival, then Tony came down to greet us and help carry our luggage to our room. There's a few stairs to navigate but once inside we were very comfortable - the rooms are modern, well equipped (with a kitchen too) and very clean. And the price for a triple room was such good value! The air conditioning and wifi worked great which was important for us. Tony was very hospitable and recommended we walk up the road to the third street which led to many restaurants and cafes. The Acropolis is very close by. We will stay here again in Athens!

If you are looking for a good value, well located place to stay in Athens, look no further. We stayed in a room which came complete with it's own kitchen and spacious en suite. The room was ultra modern, although the red and black colour scheme may not be to everyone's taste! Location wise, it was an easy 15 minute walk from the touristy Plaka area and located in what seemed to be a predominantly residential area which felt very safe to walk around, even late at night.

Service was good with Tony's son greeting us at reception and showing us to our room. The hotel even arranged a taxi transfer from the port when we arrived, which we greatly appreciated.

All in all, a really good value accommodation option - would stay here if visiting Athens again.

We have just finished 3 nights at hotel tony. VASILIS was very helpful. The room we had looked brand new. Has a fridge, sink and plates, cutlery to have breakfast or a cold dinner. Also a kettle and microwave. The bathroom is very small and the shower wet the whole floor as its a half door. The room was tidied and bed made/sheets changed every morning. Wifi is fast. Location- an uphill walk of about 7 mins tometro sygrou-fix, one stop from acropolis. We didnt try walking there. Nice restaurants near the metro. Lots of stray cats in the neighborhood and not the nicest area visually but it was safe and quiet which is what matters. VASSILIS arranged our morning taxi to the port. A lovely well priced place to stay in athens

We recently stayed at Hotel Tony. The trip advisor reviews were correct. The location to the Plaka, mass transit and other sites are within walking distance, especially if you enjoy seeing the sites by foot. The hotel is located in a safe residential neighborhood. I never felt unsafe walking late at night with two other women. There is a great local bakery shop down the block that Tony, the owner, recommended. It was great. In addition, within two blocks is a mini supermarket for you needs.

Tony is extremey honest and helpful. Don't be afraid to ask him any questions or suggestions on restaurants.

My only complaint was that the layout of the room was a bit tight for three large suitcases, but with some creative thinking, we made it work. The rooms are very clean however.

A suggestion is to have some suitcase stands in the rooms. I would definately stay here again. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the side street.
