“Excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

I had a chance to stay at Hilton Brussels City for a couple of nights, the location of the hotel is very close to shopping street, just 5 minute walk from the hotel door. It is in a very safe neighborhood more over, the hotel' staff is very helpfully and fill with a service mind. I love it!!!

Stayed one night in this hotel. The staff were helpful and kind, as usual in an Hilton hotel.
I was in the Hilton Honors floor, I asked for a smoking room which was small and without the possibility to fully open the window (there was a wall just outside the window). There also was a lot of dust on the window sill.
The wellness area was clean and confortable.

Tiny room with a tiny Armoir tends to offset the fact that this Hilton sits in a prime location and serves a decent breakfast.
By far the worst problem was that management removed the light switches in the bathroom. They put lights on motion sensors. So if you approach the bathroom in the middle of the night, floodlights explode into action and awaken your partner. If you are taking a shower behind the shower curtain, the lights go off. Guests have no manual override. This is a really an impudent way to save electricity.
One of our party went upstairs to change, and reported that there is not enough room in there to change your mind. We attempted to hang up a shirt, trousers and a coat in the closet and not one would fit. We resorted to using the swinging door latch as our coat hanger.
Hilton is walking distance from Gare du Nord but is not visible. Exit the station and look for Sheraton Hotel. Hilton is across the street (your left) in a setback after 600 meters.

This hotel is one block from north station, easy access to/from the airport. Metro is across the street. The room was clean, spacious for an European hotel. But the "double bed" was two single beds put together, which was a bit weird. The staff were friendly and polite. Free wifi in the lobby. Breakfast buffet was good, with continental options as well as hot items.

Comfortable, well equipped room and bathroom in an excellent hotel near Brussels Gare du Nord station. The day started with a large choice of cold and hot breakfast items to set you up for the day ahead. The hotel was only 10 minutes walk from the Grand Place (the main square in the old town) and was located next to the Rogier metro station. The Bien Belge Living Lounge served Belgian specialities and a good selection of wines and Belgian beers.

I selected to this hotel based on its proximity to the ERC building. The hotel shut off the central heating in mid April, and the room was decidedly cold on arrival. The staff did not know or understand this basic fact, and fiddled for at least one hour with controls, valves, and buttons to try to turn on the heather. Eventually they gave up and I had to sleep with a portable electric heater emitting a strong red light all night long. The Internet connection was fairly expensive (20EUR) and turned out to work rather poorly -- in fact not at all at times. I booked this relatively expensive hotel on an important business trip to avoid "bad surprises". I had plenty.

We stayed here over the last weekend for my 40th birthday. It is a lovely clean and modern hotel which is well located for Brussels site seeing with a Metro stop 150 yards from the hotel entrance.

The rooms were very clean and the bed was huge. There is a TV, minibar and well sized bathroom. There is free wifi in reception which was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet was good and there was plenty of choice for both coooked and continental options

The highlight of the hotel was the bar next to reception that we had a couple of drinks in after each evening out and before bed. The barman, Youssef, was great fun and we really enjoyed speaking with him about Brussels and his home country of Spain. He was so welcoming and very kindly opened a bottle of champagne for us at midnight of my birthday. Very happy!
