simply the worst restaurant / bar service ever - the hotel is actually pretty cool but the service is hilariously bad - like, you'll sit there for an hour without a drink while loads of staff pour on past with something better to do... it's quite bizarre

Attended a course and stayed for a week. I arrived early. Asked for the wi-fi password from the receptionist and charged my mobile at the hotel lobby. Just before 12 pm, the staff was very generous allowing me to an early check-in .

A convenience store just opposite the hotel. To muslims, few halal restaurants nearby. A short walk will take you straight to the city centre. A half-hour walk took me to the Grand-Place Grote Markt.

Enjoyed my stay.

Got this deal from Euro star ,arriving Sunday @ 18.00 hrs. ,and took the tube to the hotel(as it was Sunday was worried how I would get tickets but just go down to the entrance and found a ticket office still open ).The hotel is as previous reports clean and funky , only negatives are the price of meals and booze . Took our own teabags but it still tasted foul ,even bought senseo coffee bags from across the road ,but little improvement ,must be the water . We found we could eat for around 10 to 15 euros each at the many eateries around Grand Place. Brussels is not a massive place and is walkable ,in fact we walked back to Midi railway Station in about 40 minutes .You will find a lot of the shops expensive , but some of the British shops like H and M are similar to back home ,we found 2 full days more than enough to do what we wanted to do .

Room Tip: we paid extra for XL room 336 ,ok but the higher up the better.7.50 a Euro for a pint of beer ,nip a...

Thanks for calling us clean and funky! We hope you also enjoyed your big and bright room and our concept in general. We do hope to see you again in the future. We’re sure there are still some places in the capital of Europe you didn’t see although they’re really worth it.

I stayed in Hotel Bloom for a week whilst on a course for work! The staff were always friendly. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and lovely food! The room was perfect, it was clean and was a good size. The hotel is only a short walk from the city centre. All in all the stay was very comfortable and enjoyable! The smart tv was, at times irritating to work but that was perhaps more of a lack of patience with modern technology on my part! Smoods, the bar and restaurant serves great food and again the staff there are lovely and friendly! Thumbs up for Hotel Bloom for sure!

I spent a week in the hotel (linked business meetings). Great location, nice rooms, perfect cleaning in the rooms, bar and restaurant with atmosphere and quality. Correct prices (for Bxl) - except the astronomic breakfast which I did not take. (Well, the restaurant is also quite overpriced. But there are several good alternative eating options within 200 meters).

But you need REALLY a lot of patience when you approach the reception desk. Dramatically understaffed, both in quantity and quality. I was queing 15 minutes at check-in (three persons before me) and in the que (3+ more behind me), funnily, all experienced people shared their stories in BLOOM about the lack of competence of receptionists - I don't think I met any which was not trainee-like. They are mostly polite but extremely slow, missing skills to the simplest solutions to manage properly, asking each others' advice.

I tried to ask for calling taxi several times, in these cases the incompetence turned into a kind of agression... decided to walk twice.

We stayed here one night on a mini break last weekend.

The hotel is lovely. The foyer is so much fun, with swinging bubble chairs so that was fun! The room was very nicely designed. The carpet was green like grass which added to the room design and feel. The twin beds we had were very comfortable and we enjoyed the free water I had in the room. I loved the sink in the bathroom too!

Location is good. About a 5 minute walk to the center of town where the main shops are. Please note that shops are closed on sundays, but restaurants were open especially in the Grand Place area. So make sure you shop on a saturday...oil and vinegar is amazing!!!

We felt safe there, and had a really nice view of the city. The gardens next door are beautiful so make sure you walk around that at least once.

Wifi worked well, but only one of us could be on it at one time, at least that's how it appeared to be for us. But that wasn't a big deal.

We had a relaxing time in Brussels and this hotel was a major reason why. Its the only hotel I will stay at in Brussels that is for sure!

Room Tip: High floor has the better view.

What a fantastic review! It’s a pleasure for us to read all these kind words and that you had fun in the swinging bubble chairs. Super you liked the unique fresco in your room. The view of the city is indeed amazing and the botanical garden next to us is definitely worth visiting. We are very happy that we were the major reason you had a relaxing time in Brussels. We will welcome you with open arms when you visit us again. Bloomy regards from Brussels to Melbourne!

We recently spent two nights in this hotel which we booked in conjunction with an offer on Eurostar. We liked the hotel very much , it has a modern feel and our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We overlooked a side street and although there was some traffic it wasn't noisy. It was a very good location for public transport , a few minutes from the underground station and on a tram and bus route. and not far from all the main attractions in the centre of the city.

We found the staff friendly and helpful and ate in the hotel's restaurant on both evenings as we had spent our days sightseeing and didn't want to venture out again. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the food and service were both excellent. We were given the option to receive a voucher for 5 euros to use for food or drinks in the restaurant in exchange for not having our room serviced, a nice touch we thought and one we took advantage of. .

OK the hotel isn't situated in the smartest part of town but we would definitely return there if we visit Brussels again.
